6 weeks post op

Including a few progress pics, I am exactly 6 weeks post op today. Right implant hasn't completely dropped into place yet, still semi hard however I expect the implants to drop and get softer in the next 2 weeks or so.

Finally able to sit comfortably on my bottom for more than 30 mins without feeling uncomfortable however I still drive and sit at my work desk with my BBL pillow. Otherwise I've been complication free so far THANK U GOD. Still taking it a day at a time, can't wait to go shopping and feel comfortable in a bathing suit and jeans :-)

As a women who has always wanted a nice firm tight...

As a women who has always wanted a nice firm tight behind I finally built up enough courage to actually do something about this FLAT behind I've been carrying around for 34 years!! I've always been a small-med framed girl, the most I've ever weighed was 138lbs, smallest as a woman was 115lbs. The morning of the procedure was 121lbs. Never been curvy or voluptuous, no hips, no boobs....no ass at at all....no fair.

Started researching what I could do about this flat bum cause squats and lunges just has not worked for me. During my research one thing that was for certain is that butt implants were the newest craze and BBLs, not so much (women has been having BBLs for years) and the DFW area didn't have many experienced surgeons that has performed either. I'd made consultations with 2 highly accredited surgeons about my options to discuss having the BBL. I knew I didn't want an enormous obnoxious ass, however wanted a nice, firm, natural looking ass and thought implants would too risky and could potentially have me walking around looking like a donkey. No offense to the ladies or gents that's going for that look.
During both consultations I was told I didn't gave enough fat for the BBL to sculpt and carve out the nice bum I wanted. Obviously the alternate option was butt augmentation with implants. I was and still am nervous about the implants, due to the higher risk factors, the longer recovery time and the scarring. Also butt implants are still somewhat of a new procedure in the plastic surgery arena, many experienced surgeons have only been performing these procedures for 5-8 years give or take. Took me about 2 mos of back and forth in my mind and heart and finally decided to do it!!

Soo, that's that. As of the morning of surgery I was so very nervous, more nervous than excited cause I know the recovery process will be a beatdown and I wouldn't wake up looking at butt of my dreams. According to research and listening to my doctor it be will a full 6 mos or so before I begin to see anything close to the expected outcome of my new butt.

They started around 6am and I woke up around noon with the biggest swollen lips I've ever seen. My butt was extremely tight, hips and back were bruised and swollen cause I'd also had some lipo to the flanks to xfer some of that fat to my hips. Laid in recovery for about an hour from what I can remember, called my sister, best friend and waited on my boyfriend to take me home to begin this rigorous recovery process. Immediately I'd asked the nurses what size implants I had, unfortunately nobody knew at that very moment, apparently the nurses that was in my operating room wasn't around anymore and my surgeon was performing more procedures for the day.
I'd kept asking, obviously I wasn't leaving until I knew!!!! Finally a nurse checked my paperwork and confirmed I had 434cc solid implants and about 400cc of fat injected in each hip. Nurses also confirmed the surgery went well and I was free to go home.

Today is day 7 for me, counting the day of surgery. I still walk like I'm wearing a saggy diaper, still cannot bend, need help getting in and out of bed. I'm sleeping on my stomach, watching tv on my stomach, eating while standing and laying on my stomach. My butt is still extremely tight, swollen and sore. The pain meds greatly help however the muscle relaxers are surprisingly doing nothing for me. I don't really get the point of them. I get up to walk 5 mins every hour unless I'm asleep, and this garment is soooooo tight and uncomfortable. I had my first post op appointment a few days ago and the nurse says everything looks to be doing just fine considering. My incisions are starting to itch like crazy too, guess that means it's starting to heal. My lipo stitches will be taken out my during my 2nd post-op appointment.

So thus far, no regrets, happy with the choice I've made to have this procedure done. Of course I cannot wait to see healing and progress however I know that will take time. I will definitely keep journaling during my recovery period, reading everyone else's reviews has helped me significantly, I only wish there were more reviews to read and inquire about. Happy that realself has given us this outlet.

Until next time....
