I could tell right away the incision on my right...

$7,000
I could tell right away the incision on my right arm was tighter then my left arm. I told the surgeon about 3 days after my surgery.
My scar goes across my right elbow and it raised, pink, dry and hurts all the time.
It been also 8 months since my surgery and my scar hasn't got any better.
IDK if the scar and all the pain was worth it. I know for sure it has scared me away from having anymore surgeries.

Your incisions are unusually wide. Do you have other scars on your body that look like this? I am trying to determine if you have a history of bad scaring or was this an isolated incident. If I were you I would get a few consultations for scar revision. I know you said you want to stay away from any more surgery but a revision isn't as bad as the original surgery and there is a good chance your scars can be improved.
I have had a few surgeries and my scars look normal.
What does your surgeon think of your scars? Did he offer any post op suggestions to improve your scars? Laser treatment, silicon tape? Anything?
You formed Very Large Keloid Scarring. He should of did more suturing with the tissue inside so your skin would Hold Together closer and not Split. I also form Keloids. Some people inherit this condition. There's a new kind of tape that stops the skin from forming Keloids, but I don't know what it's called. I saw it on TV. It helps with scar formation from developing into Keloids. On the show called Botched. Your only alternative is for the Keloid itself to be cut into a little a be removed and realised. I hope this helps.
I don't if I'd say inherit them I hope not. I had a tummy tuck and had a few smaller keloids that went away well with steroid injections. My arms however were horrible in keloids. I hope I don't get them again as I plan on a thigh an breast lift.
I also started developing keloids i am now 2 and a half months post op and have been using mepiform silicon tape I have looked at reviews and this seems to help keloids and large scars. Your scars look unusually large maybe consult with a different surgeon for scar revision.
Are you using any scar cream/lotion/gel? Silicone sheets?? Deep massage helps too. I'm actually considering getting it done this summer.. haven't really seen an arm lift that didn't leave some extent of noticeable scarring. I'd rather have the scars than all the excess skin. It should lighten up & fade over time, with a little TLC. Good luck :)
