Last Checkup with Dr. B

WORTH IT$6,100
I had my last appointment today to check on the girls.. And I couldn't tell him enough how happy I am with the awesome job he did! He and his nurse were both happy with the outcome too! And now... I am cleared to wear NORMAL bras again (Underwire.. Push-up! Yes! I have been dying to wear a normal bra again). He looked at the scars and said they are healing great.. They are flat, so I don't need to worry about the silicone sheeting. Just keep using Mederma until the scars are light pink (could be in 6 months, or less if I'm lucky). I'm going to go get the Mederma Night Cream for some heavy duty scar healing. Also, I no longer have to do the massages I was doing.. I was shown a new one to do.. Only 5 seconds every day. Forever. I think I can handle that! ????

So, before heading in to work I made a quick stop at Victorias Secret to grab a new bra (and a new swimsuit, too ???? ). I walked in and grabbed some 36DD's to try on (was measured previously at that size). These bras just looked wayyyyy too big. Something wasn't right. I tried one on and there was just too much space in there. I had the girl measure me... 36D. The other girl messed up on her measuring! It's ok though.. D cup is still awesome! Although, secretly I was a little bummed. I liked the idea of DD. My husband teased me after I told him, he said "well, it looks like you'll have to go have them redone". Hahaha! Not doing that... These D's fit me great. And there are more bra options!

I will try to post pics when I get home.

Week 4 Post Op

Everything is going great. The only thing I can't wait to get back is the nipple sensation (or normal sensation - not over-sensitive). I don't really like anything (tight clothing) touching or my husband touching them. Which is tough.. before the BA this was never an issue. I feel it gets better with every week that passes. So, hopefully normal will be someday in the near future!

I have been able to sleep on my side without any issues.. which is great because I'm not too comfortable sleeping on my back. The morning boob thing has really subsided. I don't wake up sore or tight anymore.

I absolutely love my breasts. I am starting to really feel like they are a part of me now. They don't feel foreign anymore. I can't wait to buy new bras (real bras! - with underwire and pushup!).

I really wish I would get my butt in gear to tone and tighten the rest of my body to go with these awesome boobies! :) I keep talking about it, but I don't know what is up with me... guess I'm still in holiday mode. I wish I would've worked on losing a few pounds before my final appointment/checkup on the 22nd, but now it is right around the corner.... I guess I'll just stand up really straight... the tummy don't look so bad then! haha! Oh well.. its all about the boobs anyways.

And pics to follow.... because now, apparently using a macbook laptop is not enough to escape the lovely errors that plague RealSelf. Wish they would fix this. I really would like an iPhone app to do my updates.
