So glad you posted an update! Wishing you a speedy recovery. Any thoughts/suggestion for my upcoming surgery would be appreciated!
Hey my Sister, I am 6 days post panniculectomy. So far I have not had any complication. Except or this binder being uncomfortable. I live in Germany though, nd they give more than enough pain meds. I'm an swollen, but it looks as if my doctor did. Full tummy tuck, but he didn't though. Just take it easy and give God glory as you rest!
Churchgirl777, thank you very much for your post! I'm putting myself in Gods hands. XOXO
Hi, just checking in on you to see how you are doing?
Hi Glory4me, thank you for checking on me :) I'm doing ok- I'm on my way to see my dr for the first post op appointment. The pain has been tolerable with pain meds. Coughing hurts though.
I'm glad to here that your doing ok. How did everything go with your post-op? I heard that if you take a little pillow or just a pillow and hold it to your stomach while coughing or laughing the pain is not as bad. Haven't tested it out yet. I am not scheduled for my procedure until July 15. Keep us posted on your recovery progress.
Hey how are u? Has everything been well since your last post?
I noticed, the swelling takes a while to go away. It looked like I had donuts around my ankles. I started walking on the treadmill and drinking lots of water and it helped with the swelling and also helped me regain some of the feeling back that had been numb. I am 5 months post op and exercising and watching what I eat, and getting great results. The skin left is in good shape and so far is snapping back without sagging!! YAY!

Swollen

does anyone know if this is normal I'm so swollen I feel as if I'm so burst

Yes, the swelling is normal, drink lots of water and rest when your body tells you to. The stiffness works out too. I am 6 weeks post op Panniculectomy, the doctor removed 27 pounds from me and I am still happily surprised when I look in the mirror.
Thanks and I am learning that. I didn't realize how little energy I would have.
My energy level is still not back where it was before surgery, I keep waiting to not feel all fizzled out by 9:30 pm. Its getting better, though and I love shopping for new clothes.
