I had iud birth control for less than 2 months and broke out terribly. I removed the iud and started tretinoin cream .1 every 2 days for about 6 weeks and now use almost every other night... i still am experiencing breakouts during my period, so the acne is not completely gone, but I feel like the tretinoin cream has helped smoothed my overall skin texture and has also minimized some fine lines. One tube has lasted this long and I use on my face, back of hands, neck and chest. I am now running low and need to get a refill soon. I found a coupon for the prescription.

Your skin looks so refreshed! Thanks for sharing your review. Did you experience any side effects such as redness or irritation?

October 4, 2016
Thank you. I didn't experience as much irritation as I expected. I only used every 2 nights for 6 weeks before moving to almost every other night. If I feel my skin is getting too dry or irritated I skip a night. It has never been red, but it will be pink the day after I use. I also use rose hip oil as a buffer after I wash my face about 20 minutes before I apply the retina A. I do experience quite a bit of peeling on the second day after I use it. Using a buff puff with my cleanser really helps get all of the flakes off. I moisturize well and use 100 sunscreen.

Glad you're treatment went so smooth, when I used it my face looked like it was on fire! So you use Rose Hip oil with the Retin-A?

Hi your skin looks great! Did you find retin a helped with your scars ? Thanks
October 25, 2016
Thank you, and it does help a tiny bit with the appearance of superficial scars but I wouldn't recommend it for scars from severe acne. From what I understand lazer resurfacing, or a deep peel is the only thing that really helps scars.

Your results are dramatic in 2 years update.espacially tear trough...did you honestly get those results with retina a/rosehip oil or you had fillers injected..i keep looking at your photos because it seems a miracle change around the eyes..if anyone else has knowledge on this issue pls let me know

No. The skin texture and acne improved with the retina A, but i have had fillers in the nasal fold. Retina A, doesnt change deep creases.

However i haven't had anything done around my eyes. The lines were pretty superficial so it could have been the retina A or just difference in lighting that makes you see a dramatic difference

You look amazing.big improvement around eyes even if wrinkles are superficial .iam 33 years old..i have been using retina a for 3 months now..my main concern is around my eyes..wrinkles and tear trough..not too much but eyes just started aging..when did you start seeing improvement around eyes. Also there are some people who say it's best to avoid retina a under eyes..any advice you can give me on that..thanku

I think it's the Retin A. There is a review on realself where the lady had much deeper lines around her eyes and they vanished within 2 years. Your skin looks beautiful. An IUD wreaked havoc on my skin too and the doctor that prescribed it stated it was not the cause of my acne. Needless to say the IUD slipped out once in the bathroom and I did not have it replaced. Once the hormones left my body my skin got back to normal. Never again!

Check out YouTube as there are lots of videos that show how to apply it carefully under the eyes.

Your skin looks amazing! Thank you for the review. I started using retin a a few months ago but had to stop for a bit because of microblading.

Yes..i think the best way to apply it is with some hydrating cream or oil..and not applying it daily. But still alot of debate out there that retina a thins skin.i will try retina a with rosehip oil for under eyes which is my main concern.can anybody advice me what to use with retina a for dark spots?i dont trust obagi because it has hyroquinon.is homemhomemade vitamin c serum during daytime along with retina a during night the best way to fade dark spots?

IUD caused my skin to break out bad as well and the doctor was adamant it wasn't the cause when it was all that had changed. It slipped out while in the BR once and I just thought good riddance. I think doctors being compensated to push stuff just does not serve us well.
