Dr Lahoud from Transform Rhinoplasty Review

After originally booking my rhinoplasty with mr Nathan (he did my BA last year and I'm very happy with them), I came across some bad reviews of his rhinoplasty procedures, so of course panicked! I contacted my patient coordinator many times as my surgery was in 4 weeks time, but she was very helpful and understanding. She recommended dr lahoud who specialises in rhinoplasty, and booked me in to a consultation with him. Best thing I did! He talked through step by step what he was going to do, drew pictures, took photos, prodded my nose in the mirror and made me feel like I really understood what was going to happen. He didn't push me in to changing my nostrils (which mr Nathan said needed doing even though I said I didn't want them done) so I really felt safe in his hands. I booked in with mr lahoud straight after, and only had a week to wait until my op.
I took arnica tablets 7 days beforehand and it really does help, I'd recommend it for anyone.
I was in at riverside at 7:30am (a great hospital, really nice staff) and was showed to my room. Due to me having to have blood tests first i was delayed having my op, but I would have been first in at that time. I went in at 10am, was made to feel very comfortable and woke up an hour or so later in recovery! Very groggy afterwards, but that's to be expected. I didn't have any pain, though the splint is very tight and the tissue to catch drainage is a bit irritating as well. All necessities though!
The surgeon and doctor came to see me after, told me it was all a success, gave me pointers to aid my recovery and then left me to snooze.
I left at 9am the next day with my partner, and was given medication and cleaning tools to take home.
I thought I'd got off lightly with bruising as by day two it wasn't very visible, but boy was I wrong! Day three to five they really showed up, plus swollen cheeks. Luckily they didn't hurt, but the stuffiness of my nose was the hardest part to deal with. I felt like I had a major head cold. I had open rhinoplasty, so the stitches in my septum were the sorest part in my experience. Arnica cream four times daily and plenty of sleep is all I can suggest. Sleep upright too.
Day six now and there's no pain, a little bit sore but I'm feeling loads better. My bruises are now turning yellow, but I get my splint off tomorrow and words can't explain how excited I am! I'll update as and when I can.
I wrote this review cos I struggled to find any decent ones on surgeons. Id strongly recommend researching as many surgeons as you can, and even have consultations with more than one. Just because one surgeon is good at one thing doesn't mean they can do it all. I consider myself lucky that I was able to change surgeon so quickly, which only goes to show that Transform are very professional and care about their clients. I cannot fault dr lahoud in any way.
