I've been dreaming of this day since 6th grade...
WORTH IT$10,000
I've been dreaming of this day since 6th grade when I moved into a size C cup before middle school was over I was spilling out of DD bras. I started going to Lane Bryant for bras and having them taken in around the band to get the right fit. I am the first in my family to go through with the reduction surgery because frankly I grew the fastest and my breasts look the worst. My mother is 52 and breast fed both of us and her breasts look miles better than mine ever have. So Monday December 21, I am having my reduction and lift. Happily, my insurance is covering the entire cost based on the years of chiropractic care and deep grooves in my shoulders.

Post-Op thoughts
So far, so good. The pain is manageable but not 100%. The incisions burn quite a bit and even though I didn't sleep last night, I can already feel the relief on my shoulders and neck. The surgeon ended up taking 400cc from each breast. Dr. White was amazed at how dense they were so she took a little more than planned. I believe I'm a C cup now but we'll have to wait and see after the swelling goes down.

19 days post-op and thrilled!
Facts and thoughts:Tried on a Chantelle brand underwire bra in a plunging push-up with slim removable pads in a size 32DDD and it fit perfectly! I couldn't be more thrilled. I was worried that the surgeon had taken too much tissue but I feel confident in our decision. For the first time in my life my breasts have a nice little jiggle when I walk AND I have sensation that I've never knew existed in breasts. I'm a new woman. Can't wait to start running and hitting the gym weights again!
Health and well-being update: I had a follow up appointment on Friday and my surgeon said that I am allergic to the self absorbing stitches which explains the continued burning sensation since I woke up from surgery. Luckily an antibiotic will help clean that up!
