24 Years Old, Finally (Hopefully) Getting a Reduction. South Portland, ME

I had my consultation with Dr. White a couple...
I had my consultation with Dr. White a couple weeks ago and I am starting to get really nervous. I have wanted a BR for almost a decade and I am so afraid insurance won't cover it. I usually wear a 34E/F and I want to go down to a B-cup. Dr.White told me during the consultation that my right breast would easily be covered by insurance but my left breast is a size smaller, which means less will have to be taken out. After hearing this I am so worried they won't cover my procedure at all.
I have had back pain and neck pain for years relating to the weight of mt breasts, and I have a headache practically everyday. It is hard for me to do any kind of cardio with feeling the stress in my neck. I don't have grooves in my shoulders because I only wear bras with padded straps, and I wear the straps on the bony part of my shoulder. I'm worried that the lack of grooves will make the insurance people think my breasts aren't causing enough strain.
I haven't heard from the PS office about my insurance yet. How long did it take for you ladies to hear back from insurance? Did you have to meet certain criteria before insurance would pay? Should I start worrying about this now, or just deal with it when the time comes? I desperately want a BR, I just don't know how I would pay for it if insurance doesn't cover it! How do I stop stressing?!?!

It takes about 3 to 4 weeks for insurance to make a decision after your doctor's office sends it in. It depends on your plan and the medical documentation. I was a 36 DD but had over 10 years of medical records substantiating migraines, neck and back pain. Insurance approved mine. Words from the wise, I went down to a b and I look really really small. Depending on your body, a C maybe better

Thanks for the advice. I'm not so stressed now that I know it can take a few weeks for insurance to decide, though I am still nervous they will say no :/ I have a few years documented of migraines (I even had a CT a couple years ago for my headaches) and back/neck pain. I'm just hoping this is enough.
On the size point, I'm not too worried about how they look, I just want them to be as small as possible so I can have the maximum relief. I have gained weight recently due to outside factors/stress, but I am a generally slender person. Hopefully a B cup will look right on my body, but if they look too small I'm okay with that too :)

hi. My surgery is scheduled with dr. White as well. It took about 3 weeks for approval. Have you been scheduled yet?

I just had my consultation on 9/4 so it's only been two weeks. I'm hoping to hear next week. And congrats on your approval!! When is your surgery date?

Thanks for letting me know. I've got my fingers crossed that I don't have to jump through any hoops :p

I seem to be having trouble attaching pictures so hopefully this one shows up :)
I am going to keep my fingers crossed that this all comes through approved quickly. I also had one larger than the other and this same issue came up. My insurance ended up covering me:)
They took a little over 500 from one and just under 400 on the other.
