24 Years Old, Finally (Hopefully) Getting a Reduction. South Portland, ME

Denied

So I just found out today (at work no less) that my insurance denied me for BR surgery. I'm starting to feel really discouraged by this. I obviously knew there was a chance I would be denied but I let myself get hopeful. I just don't know what to do now. The woman at my PS office said there were possibly some things I could do and then resubmit to my insurance. By the time I listened to my voicemail she was out of the office, so I'm hoping I can find out some of those possible steps tomorrow.
Did any of you get denied at first and then do something to be approved? I'm wondering what they may have me do. I know physical therapy is an option, though I don't really want to have to do that! Oh well. I guess whatever it takes right?
Wish me luck.

I was approved the first time, BUT I have heard of many people who had to really dig in their feet and fight it..... And was finally approved. You PS office should have submitted any medical records documenting continued pain over a period of time. Also a letter from your treating physician indicating what medical benefit the reduction would give you will definitely help. Any pictures showing rashes under your breast or marks left by your breast. Don't give up!

I Was denied the first time around, but my dr wrote a letter saying how many medical problems it could eliminate for me and how much he would be removing, & I was approved the next day. Don't give up. It was one of the best decisions ever!
