I desperately needed thigh liposuction, I had a huge bum and thunder thighs that looked awful. I had researched liposuction in south Korea online for two months prior to going to Seoul . I realize that there is not much information in English about liposuction in Seoul. Some of the reviews I read had come from this website so I wanted to contribute with my experience to help others who might be thinking of undergoing the procedure in Seoul.
My research told me that 365mc in Seoul was one of the hospitals that specialized in liposuction and didn't do any other types of plastic surgery. It made me feel more at ease that the Drs at this establishment did only liposuction everyday and hopefully this experience translated to a better and safer procedure for me.
365mc was easy to locate, there was a lady translater who was assigned to me. She would accompany me to all the check ups prior to the procedure. A " matronly" lady ( presumably a nurse ) would check my body and give me a "quote " based on what she thought I needed.
I was extremely nervous about the procedure but the good thing about traveling to Seoul for the procedure was that there's no backing away from
It once you board the plane.
I was measured, weighted and bloods taken before the procedure, photos were also taken prior to the surgery.
Just before surgery, I saw my surgeon, Dr Kim sung woo, he took some measurements and assured me that he'd try his best. The next thing I know I was all prepped and lying face down on the surgical table . The last thing I remember was feeling the burn of propofol.
Post surgery
Dr Kim had taken 4.5L of fat from my thighs and bum. I felt weak and tired but didn't feel any immediate pain post surgery. I was sent to a surgery recovery room to recover and had sips of water. The translater Jane helped with hailing a cab for me so I could go back safely to my hotel.
The first night was horrible , I was drinking loads of water and going to the toilet a lot ! Going to the toilet is a painful feat for someone who has had thigh work done. Luckily I had prepared a funnel ( after reading advice from this and another forum)
By the second day, I was walking out of my hotel to dinner and by the third day doing some light walking around and sightseeing !
The only thing that really bothered me was an intense itch in the areas of the incision. There wasn't a lot of pain as long as you are not squating or going from a sit to stand position.
I am now 3 months post surgery. I wore my CG for 6 weeks and had some issues with my feet hurting due to the CP being too tight at the calf area causing my feet to swell up and blood not being able to circulate, this improved greatly once I switched from wearing it daily to only wearing it in the day.
At 3 months post surgery, I would say that I have lost 5cm from my thighs and 5 cm from my bum. The service at 365mc was good, I was pleased with how professional and the Drs were.
I do honestly wish I would see more difference in the next 3 months (* fingers crossed) considering he took 4.5L I did expect to see a much bigger difference.
Would I do it again? Yes but did it achieve my dreams of being able to put on that mini skirt, not really. I think Inherently I just have too much fats !
