I am 30 years old I am a mother of two boys. I have lost about 95 pounds and I have a lot of excess skin that hangs low on my abdomen some on my hips and my doctor is going to perform full abdominalplasty and lipo of my hips. He said that he was going to have to make the incision further back than just my hips so it will go all the way to my side. I have been waiting for this for about 4 years and finally have the money. I am looking forward to being able to start running without my pants falling down due to the skin flopping up and down. Im nervous and sometimes panicky about doing this I just hope they give me something to calm me. I am scheduled to have the surgery march 16. I have been looking at this site for a couple weeks what a blessing it is to have found it. It is awesome!!! I will post pics soon

well I have added some before pics and I have listed the name of my doctor. I saw one other doctor before deciding on him. He has the best staff and he is so down to earth. He came recommended by a physician that had their tt done by him. Im getting nervous but excited that all that skin is actually going to be gone. I have been thinking about this procedure for 3-4 years.

Hi Shanon. I cant wait to see your postop pics ! I am booked April 4 and I am really, really nervous and I will make sure they can give me something to calm my nerves for sure ! Ya this website has been really great for me too. I have also been on it for a couple of weeks and it has calmed me a bit hearing about others stories. good luck, you will do great and keep us posted :-)

good luck and i hope to see your after pics... Come by and check out my photos...
You will be fine, get thru the first 5 days and then it is a piece of cake.... coughing, vomiting, and laughing hurt so bad in the first 5 days but you can get through it... You will have a lot of numbness on your hips and your incision area... that is not what hurts.... It is your abdominal muscles.

Susanne3692, Thank you, I am getting nervous about pretty much everything but I just keep telling myself it wont be bad for long and maybe it wont be as bad as Im making it out to be. I will keep you posted.

I cant believe how quickly the last few weeks have gone by. Wednesday seems to be approaching fast!!! Today Im not that nervous about the surgery, but the last 3 days I was nervous and thinking about everything was getting very overwhelming but for some reason Im feeling more confident today. I sure hope this new found confidence and fearlessness stays. I keep telling myself it will be over before I know it.

today has been a busy day. We took our 2 boys to see rango and out to dinner since my surgery is wednesday. just trying to have some fun family time before the big day. tonight when putting the kids to bed I felt more teary eyed just cant get enough of their hugs right now. soooo ready to get it over with and boy its coming up quick

Thank you everything went fine during my surgery. I was in a lot of pain on the way home I had a 1 1/2 hour ride home. did your surgery go well
