How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Best I've felt in a week! First follow-up with...

Best I've felt in a week! First follow-up with orthopedic surgeon today & my first time out of the house in a week. Sutures in shoulder were clipped & will dissolve; steri-strips applied. Dr. pleased with progress & range of motion so far. YEA!!!!! Start real physical therapy tomorrow-orders are for 12 weeks, but we'll just see if we can't accelerate that schedule! I don't have to wear that awful immobilizer sling at home unless I am sleeping, which is bad enough, by the way. If you think drains are annoying, picture having a 5 pound sack of flour strapped to the inside of your lower arm, which is bent at a 90° angle. The whole business is strapped over your opposite shoulder as well as around your waist & your mostly numb or tingling fingers/thumb are confined in this cloth cylinder 24/7! Now try to sleep with this get-up on. Yep, this is Granny whining. I haven't felt this claustrophobic since those hot flashes that make you want to throw off the covers & rip off all your clothes.(Some of you will get this; the rest of you will!) The best news is that I can water walk in pool tomorrow if I keep incision dry. Next week-water aerobics with caution! I'm getting to be a happy camper. Sorry to pester my tt buddies with my shoulder replacement journey, but, alas, no forum on topic!(swyping is much easier with my un-immobilized right hand.)
