Tokai clinic Is AMAZING! I recommend this...

Tokai clinic Is AMAZING! I recommend this destination for anyone considering plastic surgery! If you haven’t thought of medical tourism before I encourage you to read this review and contact Dr. Pat at Tokai clinic!! This is a detailed review of my incredible experience with this fantastic surgeon and his staff:
After months of research, I had narrowed down my medical tourism search to four different clinics; two in Thailand, one in India and one in Costa Rica. I emailed each with the same pictures and questions. Dr. Pat at the Tokai Clinic stood out immediately, he emailed me personally, responding to each question with a detailed recommendation, and suggested some options that I hadn’t previously considered, he asked for additional pictures and information in order to conduct a thorough preliminary consultation over email. We exchanged multiple correspondences and he was prompt in his replies. Prices were quoted from the beginning and although the cost was higher than the quotes from clinics in India and Costa Rica, they were lower than the other clinic in Thailand and much lower than in Canada where I live. Before leaving, Dr. Pat made sure to send me for all the tests I needed so any prohibiting factors could be flagged before I booked my trip. I felt confident in the doctor’s expertise and integrity from the start and, once my tests were approved, I flew out, on my own, the following week.
When I arrived, Dr. Pat was able to see me immediately, during our first face to face consultation. There was only a slight language barrier but he was careful to explore what results I was hoping for, he allowed me to pour over photos in his office and ones I had brought/photo shopped. It was clear he cared about producing the results I desired. Many of the surgeries I had intended were more extreme than was necessary and he recommended less expensive procedures and combined treatments. For example, my rhinoplasty became a less invasive/expensive tip-plasty, my chin & jaw implant became a simple tissue graft, and my upper blepharoplasty-corrugator removal-botox was rolled into a forehead lift with hairline lowering that acted as all those and a face lift too!

Once decided upon, payment was made with my Canadian Interac card (for which there is an extra fee but I hadn’t had time to order travellers cheques before I left so you can save some money if you bring cash, bank notes or T-cheques). My consult was on a Friday and Sunday was surgery day! Before starting the nurses (who are lovely!) and the Doctor and I had one last consult in which they made sure I was happy with the surgical plan. This was a cheerful discussion in which the nurses pitched in their opinions and everyone was laughing along, this dispelled any nervousness I may have felt. I was saving so much money, I asked if we could add lipo-suction to the list and they were happy to oblige.
During the procedure, the team made sure I felt safe and comfortable, the first part was under sedation and the second under general anesthetic, one of the nurses made sure to hold my hand and talk me through the sedation which I was very grateful for.
When I awoke, they explained that everything went well, and took care of me in their nice air conditioned recovery room for the next three days. A nurse was present 24/7 and they went above and beyond making sure I was not in pain, entertained, they even went to the market every day and made me fresh delicious soups and washed my clothes! Incredible! After I was released, I was provided with medications, gauzes, bandages, compression garments, splints – everything I needed and invited to come back every day at my convenience and my wounds were cleaned, my progress checked and my questions answered.
In total I had the following procedures completed: 1. Forehead lift with hairline lowering (which included brow/eye lift, corrugator removal and cheek lift) 2. Tip plasty, 3. Lip lift 4. Liposuction of the jowls and neck, 5. Tissue graft to the chin, 6. Liposuction of inner and outer thigh, 7. Vaginal rejuvenation, 8. Labiaplasty and 9. Fat graft to the labia majora. I am still quite swollen but I am very happy with the results! In fact they are beyond my expectations! My nose is a little crooked but I’ve been assured that tip plasty’s heal asymmetrically and this will correct it’s self with time. I would say the most uncomfortable part of the experience was having to wait five days to wash my hair afterwards… not much of a complaint!
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Pat and his team to anyone who is considering plastic surgery! Having my procedures completed in Thailand saved me over $20,000 CDN of the cost for the same surgeries in Canada, and the personalized care and consideration I received exceeds that I would have expected (and have experienced) at home. If you are considering a medical destination PICK TOKAI!!
As an aside – I was able to find a small studio apartment that was two minutes walk from the clinic on Airbnb.com. This was a great option for me because I wasn’t looking for a lux hotel, my 16 day stay cost under 300 CDN and I had access to a pool, gym, laundry, street markets and corner stores in the same block. Tokai clinic is at the bottom of the stairs for the Skytrain station, so this location was perfect, I could easily walk from my apartment to the clinic and still access all the touristy locations in the city that I desired! Bangkok is a lovely city, travelling alone for major surgery, in a foreign country, as a female who doesn’t speak a word of Thai could seem intimidating, but the people are so friendly, the city so beautiful and the staff at Tokai so accommodating that I didn’t feel threatened or vulnerable at all during my stay!
Cheers!

Dr. Pat¬ has a very positive and engaging manner and is clearly not driven by making the most money possible. It was easy to put my trust in him.
