I wanted the area under my chin done and the doctor's office advised me to do my whole lower jaw area. So I did, but wish I didn't! I'm seeing fat loss in my face from this treatment! My chin is now more pointy and defined which I did NOT want (the areas on the sides of my chin seemed to lose fat) and my mandible area that used to protrude has lost volume. I'm really bummed by this. It's a small change, but I don't have much of a jawline to begin with, so this little change has made a huge difference me for an my self confidence. If I had only done my under chin area I would have been happy. I had the procedure May 2nd and it's now August 26th (So about 4 months ago).

So you wish you would have done more but it wasn’t worth it? It wouldn’t be possible to have fat loss from Sofwave as the depth is only 1.5mm deep.

Can you tell me more about the fat loss you experienced? I think if you posted your own review, maybe with photos, you could keep a lot of people from trying out a risky peocedure

I went to plastic surgeons office in Beverly Hills. The woman who did it was a registered nurse and does all of their sofwave treatments and was taught how to do it by the company. My chin is now significantly smaller due to the fat loss from this treatment. My chin was okay before Sofwave and after this treatment I feel my chin looks recessed! They told me this treatment does not cause any fat loss, but it definitely does! I REALLY regret this treatment and wish I had not done it. Now I have to get voluma injections in my chin every two years to replace the fat loss so my face looks the same. I also lost volume in my mandible area so there is less definition between my back jaw and neck. I've been pretty depressed about this ever since I got it done. Ladies please beware of this!

Before and after photos?

I'm NOT saying this didn't happen to you but skin tightening can make it APPEAR as if there has been 'fat loss' when that isn't the case. This is usually because people typically ALREADY had volume loss that becomes more apparent after. It is also possible that you naturally have a recessed jaw that you didn't notice before. It's really impossible to tell without a proper evaluation.
