It Hurts More Than They Say, but Hopefully Worth It.

The realself review page says it doesn't hurt. It definitely does! I pride myself on being able to tolerate a high degree of pain. I did thermage with virtually no pain. I also did several rounds of clear and brilliant (though I thought that hurt pretty bad too). During this treatment, I had to ask to have the intensity turned down. I still think it will be worth it, but want to set realistic expectations for others.

I too had an excruciatingly painful experience today as well. I had numbing cream on for one hour. They recommend a second treatment in 2 months but honestly, I don't know if I can bring myself to do this brutally painful procedure again. I had face and neck done, chin and cheeks are the worst. My right cheek has little subdermal bumps. I wonder if I was burned, although this is not supposed to happen...

Same. I feel like they mislead you about how painful it is. I won't be able to bring myself to do softwave again. Too painful.
I am a year and a half out from 2nd treatment. I do not see much improvement at all. I do not feel Sofwave is worth the time, money and expense.
