Sofwave extremely painful - hoping the pain was worth it

Sofwave Extremely Painful!

elizabethtakerian
I read so many reviews before my Sofwave treatment. Most of the reviews said it was painless or tolerable with a few people saying it was painful. I didn’t want to take a pain pill and Valium which was recommend. I had a good friend come with me and I’m glad I did or I would have jumped off the chair. The pain is very intense to say the least. I did my whole face and neck. As I was communicating the pain level, my person said they use the high intensity level to get better results. Maybe the people who said it isn’t painful had a lower setting. I just wanted to give an honest review because I am not sure I would do it again in 3 months as suggested. I definitely would take the pain pill and Valium. I immediately felt the tightening and was encouraged. One month later, I’m not sure I notice anything but other people say my skin looks better. I am hoping the pain was worth it and I am looking forward to seeing good results!

Thanks so much for your response Sonia! May I ask if you took a pain pill and if you’ve noticed any skin tightening?

Same. Very painful despite numbing cream, 800 ibuprofen and laughing gas. I can't do this again. Those who say it's painless but have super low settings. I can tolerate pain but won't do software gain. Excruciating.

I had my neck and face done. Read prior in many places it was not painful (I'd feel a warm sensation). I was warned by the MD that the procedure was spicy and they were right. I have a high pain tolerance, had numbing cream and laughing gas and it literally felt like a hot curling iron. However, it was for less than a second and then it's over and on to the next spot haha. I can't believe I almost declined the laughing gas. That makes it tolerable. The MD was very surprised to hear people report no pain as they stated this is one of their more painful procedures for people. I literally had it done yesterday so nothing to repot on skin tightening. I plan to just do it every 10months and role with the pain as there aren't tons of no downtime ways to stimulate collagen to the extent this does.
