Excellent experience with Dr. Madnani
I had a facelift and upper blepharoplasty performed by Dr. Madnani in 2015. For years, I had been unhappy with my “jowliness” and hooded upper lids. The entire process from consultation through procedure went without a hitch, and I am extremely happy with the outcome. My results are completely natural looking, and I can now relate to others who have used the word “refreshed” to describe their appearance after a successful facelift.
Dr. Madnani’s was the fourth consultation I had, but the first one I left feeling that all my questions had been answered thoroughly and thoughtfully. I never felt as if I was getting a sales pitch. I must also add that, to a person, Dr. Madnani and his staff were all warm, friendly, and 100% helpful, which made me feel very much at ease. Just the fact that I was considering voluntary surgery had been enough to make me somewhat apprehensive, and some of the previous PS offices I’d visited (that were ultra-modern, plush, even “glitzy”) pushed me even further out of my comfort zone. I wasn’t looking for a fancy setting or spa-like experience - my wish was to come out of surgery with positive results and health intact. It was also a big decision for me financially, and Dr. Madnani’s fee was quite reasonable compared to the other doctors I’d seen. I have no regrets, and consider it money well spent. **Note that the figure listed above reflects the total for both facelift and blepharoplasty - the dropdown menu provides no option for including more than one procedure.
Also key for me was finding a doctor who would perform the surgery without any general anesthesia. Dr. Madnani administered oral valium and local anesthesia/numbing. Throughout the procedure I was relaxed and drowsy, yet able to speak and answer questions, with no pain at all. I would absolutely recommend the no-general anesthesia route to anyone considering it. Recovery was easy - I had some swelling and minor discomfort during the first week, but no pain to speak of. Had I known there would be so little disruption to my everyday life, I might have had it done sooner. That said, I’m happy I had the surgery when I did (I’m in my mid-fifties) and looking back don’t think I’d change a thing. And I would absolutely go to Dr. Madnani if I had the choice to do it over again.
