I might say I'm quite happy finally I have Invisalign. I will write about my first experience as is. Today was the first time I put it on. I had my last wisdom tooth pulled out 2 weeks ago. My dentist is very informative about what to expect and all. She told me I might feel a bit pain, but truthfully I don't. Just a bit pressure which I can stand. I'm usually not very pain tolerant, if this is the right term. But I don't experience the horror pain like some said patients or read from the reviews here.
Anyway, this is my first day, so I will write more in the next couple of weeks if Invisalign really works for my teeth as promised. Pics attached, taken at the dentist office this afternoon after the procedures. :) -- I like wearing Invisalign, maybe because it doesn't make my mouth a bit protruding like wearing braces. :) My lips look normal when shut. Love it. My sister doesn't even know I'm wearing something in my mouth.

This might sound silly, because you are only showing your mouth in the picture, but you do not look 44!  You look so young!  But congratulations on finally getting to do this for yourself.  Is the crowding the only issue that you're working on, or are there bite issues as well?  How many sets of trays will you have in all?

Sometimes the pain kind of…blossoms, over the first 24 hours or so.  So don't be surprised if that happens.  I hope it doesn't happen to you, but let us know how you feel after 24 hours :).

I very much look forward to following your progress!  I wonder how you found our community, and am super-excited that you did!

Oh yes, I'm 44, I wear reading glasses already.. lol .. Ah, forgot to mention I have 24 trays. Doc said might have to wear Refinement after. I don't have bite issues, I think I can't really bite down with the Invisalign on. Hmmm, now that you mentioned it, I feel more pressures than last night. Of course it is a bit painfull when I put it on and get it out. I hope I don't have to take painkiller and I hope I won't back out, too.. lol

You'll be fine!  I never had to take painkillers during my treatment--not for my teeth anyway.  For headaches occasionally.  Just keep us updated and we'll root you on so you don't quit!  The hardest part is the first 7 or so trays, before you can see results.  But after that, it's so exciting.  And it's much too expensive to back out now, LOL!  You'll be fine :D.  Have you looked around in the community yet?

LOL.. I read most of the reviews here in Realself before I went with Invisalign. Most of them are and were happy with the end results. Some with horror stories.. lol .. Thank you so much for the encouragement, though.. :)

i forgot to reply to you, i found realself by google-ing.. lol.. i was going for eyebags removals and i wanted to do my 'homework' first.. so, long story short, i registered. it is very enlightening.. realself really helps a lot, reading people's reviews, the ups and downs.. the rooting, the compassion, the supports, those made me go ahead with what i wanted to do for myself.. lol.. the teeth and the eyes (another review i wrote in realself), nothing major, but knowing i'm not alone is kinda relieving.. lol..

hi, i read your review.. lol.. this is my 2nd day.. i don't feel a lot of pressure, weird (is it really working inside my mouth?). unless i bite, some of my teeth a bit hurt, that's all.. not the kind that will kill me, though.. my dentist is very happy to hear that i'm ALRIGHT and didn't lose sleep last night.. from now on, i will have lunch and dinner at home.. not to keen flossing and brushing in public toilet.. i floss everytime since 20 years ago, flossing for me is a must (i always do it before brushing my teeth).. and oh, i got this thingy (pic update) from my freshly-graduated-dentist niece, helps me pull out the aligners (i broke and bleed my already short nails yesterday).. i saw your pics, yours are more crowding than mine, but since we both just started, let's updates. (i'm still a bit skeptical if this will really works, truth be told.. lol..)
