Bought then returned
Went for the in person scan done by a former rental manager(not a dental pro at all). Due to the guarantee I purchased it. Without seeing my mock up of expected results. Three days later results came in email. I’m thinking something got lost in translation. It is a 6mo program but I was referred to a 4mo program. When I saw the results at 4 mo I was not happy. The turned tooth, my biggest issue communicated, was not addressed. Of course you would want to ask the orthodontist why this choice was made.. I digress.. the only option was customer service. When calling I was told I could do an additional plan after if not happy with results. But why not the full 6mo to begin with? No answers from the outsourced call center just practiced responses/speech to upsell. It’s a little cheaper.. but is it really? Having had braces before I learned to value the tweaks that would come of a true pro/orthodontist artist. I decided to cancel. Thankfully I hadn’t opened the box and responded quickly. They will prorate your refund. My personal experience gives a “do not recommend” rating.
Smile Direct Worth It or Not?
So.. I have minimal crowding with some turned teeth. The outcome I would smile about would be a Unified, flat front. I’m hoping all my notes are going into consideration and will be addressed. I’ve had traditional braces before with Excellanct outcome. But I stopped using my retainer then had trauma to the front so here we go again... This time I am trying the “cheap” way to get them done. Booking an appt was easy, paying in full at one time makes it cheaper($1950), also if you’ve had a friend that’s had them have them refer you for an add. $100 off. Kind of weird having someone take pictures of your teeth and discuss outcome that not a dds or dental tech.. Basically the vibe is a sales person type feel not care oriented. Sigh-* Skeptical but committed to seeing the turnout.
