SAD EXCUSE FOR CHEAP TEETH MOLDS; Most Expensive Teeth Whitening System Ever
My teeth shifted slightly & I was biting my tongue every night waking myself up last year, and when I once drew blood and had too much pain to go back to sleep I got desperate. I already had malocclusion that went uncorrected as punishment from my father. In adulthood, about 12 yrs ago I was quoted over 8K to correct, so it was that or a car, and lack of time (jobs that required a lot of travel for me). So I tried them on a Groupon deal that sounded 'cheaper'.
They were full of usedcarsales tactics calling me several times a day to sign up!!! But I kept biting my tongue at night and they kept calling. (After only one inquiry.) So I took the cheap teeth indent kit and sent my mold in. Then MORE CALLS FROM THEM... until I had to yell and tell them I will quit unless they stopped calling me (more than 1/day) and also that I needed to speak with a dentist as my teeth had some serious small jaw line malocclusion. So I pushed and pushed (over 2 weeks) and asked to speak with a dentist or orthodontist. Finally got one who said my teeth were probably not able to be corrected with them but might shift a little bit or just enough to minimize the tongue biting. So I allowed the 'test'.
First of all- I haven't slept since. You have to wear them 24/7, which is nearly impossible on holidays but at least in covid lockdown, it was much easier. There is NO WAY TO SPEAK IN THEM WITHOUT A LISP. Also, there are sharp plastic edges on ALL of the molds that can cut into the tongue worse, unless you use the enclosed nail file to 'file them down'. Problem is, it didn't work. So I had to use an electric nail file with a diamond point tip to gently smooth down. And you cannot go too far, or it may crack due to the cheap plastic used-- so expect there will still be a hard uncomfortable plastic ridge against the tongue at all times.
First one fit 'ok' after all the filing and adjusting. Great. I could 'handle' it. But as week one was ending, I noticed that the one area on the mold had warped and basically stretched, leaving the worst of my malocclusioned teeth in place. I thought, ok - maybe ok- maybe because first one.
But it happened again.
And again.
And every week there after.
Basically- --- the plastic molds are so cheap, they could not pull in the one tooth on my upper jaw. And some cracked upon first placement, some just warped right away. Some cracked after first night. But ALL stretched the plastic out at the very same point.
I am now 3 weeks from end per their site. HA. Every single mold has stretched. I have been to my dentist. Little or zero movement on my teeth from before to now.
Basically- if you have a strong jawline and your teeth are in a squeezed set position, IT DOES NOT WORK. But no, they do not tell you that. They take well over a thousand from people (and that is ON SALE PRICE)-- then give you false hopes, restless nights, bleeding tongues and a few whitener pens then tell you to join their club for more gimicky, polluting and unsustainable items.
