Having spent the whole of my adult life feeling self conscious about my smile. I decided to seek orthodontic advice to improve the aesthetics of my smile. As you can see in the pictures below I have a deep overbite and was getting jaw ache and grinding of my teeth. So far I have definitely noticed an improvement in my teeth.

You look great with your new braces. You resemble Emily Blount! I am 64, wore the old-school braces in my pre-teens, and am thinking about getting the Damon clear braces on top only (since my teeth aren’t as straight anymore). Yours look great

I’m not entirely sure about that! But many thanks anyway. They have improved more since this photos were taken- I now have a much wider smile. You should def do it. I would recommend spending time to find an ortho that you trust.. as I did. And it has massively helped!

6 months mark!

So, it has been just over 6 months since I got the braces on and I am so pleased to see a big difference in my smile from when I started!
It has not been easy.. I have had numerous trips back and forth to the ortho as my top wire has been notoriously moving and cutting into the back of my mouth (although, I am reassured that this is a Good sign- as it means my teeth are shifting quickly!) I have had to wear the ‘dreaded’ elastic bands- which have not been fun but are doing their job of helping to move teeth. Hence, I shall continue to wear these hellish things as long as my ortho tells me too.
Note to all the observant people out there: yes, my elastics are removed in pics below. But just for the purposes of the photos :)
