It's absolutely vital to have a good team with actual trained medical staff. Look for surgeons and YEARS of experience in the plastics world. This is not the space to let an untrained anyone work on you. My first procedure was abdominal 360, back bra line, and saddle bag area. I was completely out with narcotics administered in the clinic. Recovery was INTENSE. I was so weak afterwards but, following the advice and regimen, I was back to walking within a day. I did need to sit while showering and the water being too hot was a trigger for light headedness for days 2-3 but that's likely due to the massive fluid shifts. That's a lot of areas to treat at once.
I was back to training within 6-8 weeks. I am now 5 months out and feeling great. I also had a follow up procedure with another provider, also amazing, for inner thigh. It was very small. This clinic does everything fully awake with localized numbing and laughing gas. I was able to drive myself home after this one and actually had no leaking whatsoever. This is also healing quite nicely. Frankly, between the two events, wearing the compression garments is very annoying. Then it becomes comfortable (like when you start to like your captor). Once I finally let myself out of the garment, it was tough to get back into one with the follow up procedure but stick with the routine! Also, highly recommend contour pads. They wipe out the bruising so quickly. Lymphatic massages are helpful, too, although they won't be relaxing until about 6 weeks later. For the large area, I needed gabapentin to manage the tingling nerves but this inner thigh has not needed any medication. Strongly recommend getting puppy pee pads (they will give you some but you will need more) and a shower stool. Go VERY slowly if you have a big procedure - it's easy to overdo it. Also invest in some loose fitting, long dresses that you still feel cute in because that's all you'll be wearing. You also won't be wearing any underwear for a while so best to get used to that, too. I would hand wash my compression garment in a bucket in the shower with some travel detergent and then blow dry it (it's nylon so it's dry super quick). My weight has not changed at all - actually gone up quite a bit but my figure is noticeably different and slimmer. Don't let the scale ruin your results!
