Left with gluteal crease deformity & 1 breast a cup size larger than the other

I went to Dr. Pratt to exchange my saline breast...

I went to Dr. Pratt to exchange my saline breast implants for silicone and, at the same time, explore the possibility of shaping up a portion of my saddle bag area that seemed out of proportion with the rest of my body. I was very fit and had a great shape (I LOVED my shape, as I asserted to Dr. Pratt, before the surgery!), but there was just an isolated area (that literally fit inside the palm of my tiny hand) that was resistant to exercise that I wanted "refined." Dr. Pratt agreed that I only needed "very little" done there. I was horrified after the swelling went down from my surgery to find that Dr. Pratt had literally lipo'd my hips away, and in areas that I specifically told him I loved and didn't want touched. (Oh, and I ended up with a breast one cup size larger than the other, and one low profile implant and one high-profile implant (even though I told Pratt that I didn't like high profile implants). I was just much more concerned with the botched lipo than my breasts, so I let it go.) I looked like a boy (and a number of reputable, board-certified surgeons have agreed with me). Much worse, though, I was left with an extreme gluteal crease deformity (if you don't know what this is, look it up; it's gross) on both sides, I had a 2'X3" concave area in my lower outer thigh that was literally sucked down to the muscle and burnt into a horrible bruise, a hollow path leading to that concave area (that was obviously where the canula "slipped"), and two completely different thighs in both appearance and size. As if that was not bad enough, Dr. Pratt first pretended like he didn't see the deformities I was pointing out to him (and they were glaringly obvious; others have cried after looking at them) and then circle-talked me in an attempt to believe it wasn't a big deal and that I was overreacting and he could remedy the situation. After I made my complaints to Dr. Pratt and his staff, it was nearly impossible to get a return call from any of them, so that it took me over a month and a half to get my medical records (and I was calling them constantly, only to be told they'd call me back later or they'd have them ready for me "tomorrow"). Once I did get my records and take them to a few different plastic surgeons, I was told that my deformity (and, yes, they actually called it a deformity, and it is listed in my current medical record as a deformity) would never be fully reparable. I was turned away by two doctors (who didn't see how they could possibly fix it), before finding a doctor who specializes in reconstructive surgeries to take my case. Now, $10,000 later (and that's not counting the money I spent on my original surgery with Dr. Pratt), I am much better off, both physically and emotionally, but I know I still have a long way to go. I will never be the same, and I regret the day I chose Broc Pratt to perform my surgery.

I am so sorry for you horrible experience - I really wish people would post photos of their botched jobs -!!! This website is full of accolades and great photos but no one ever posts the WARNING OMG photos . On any website like this one it is very easy to post a review - anyone can so it , so without proof you can assume that your "competition" could possibly be posting horrible things about you - My PS has some horrible reviews yet no one posted photos - Thank God my friend works for him and has had work performed by him or I would have run the other way !!! I am soooo thrilled w my results ! If I had a dr botch me up I would show ppl what to be wary of . Just a suggestion if you want to expose this jerk !

I have pics from Pratt's office, but they are unclear. I have great, very clear pics at my current surgeon's office. I just have to go in an pick them up (I've been on vacation), and then I'm putting them up FOR SURE. They're awful and embarrassing, but I hate the thought of any other woman having to go through what I went through, some I'm definitely posting.

It would be useful - even photos taken by you w a cell in the mirror - this site is anonymous. I wish more people would do it , I am VERY surprised that I don't see hardly any ! I am very close to having a procedure done by a Dr in Texas - I see his work on this website and love the photos posted by the people happy with the results - - but MAN, he has some awful reviews as well !!! I wish those patients would show me what happened so I could make an educated decision. If you don't want wanting to go through what you went through please show people what he did to you ! This stuff is scary ! :/

It is EXTREMELY scary. I really had the lipo done as an afterthought (my main priority was my breast revision). It was a 35th birthday present to myself and I figured "why not?" if it was going to cost me less to do both procedures at the same time. I never imagined what a nightmare this would turn into . . . It's very difficult as a layperson to know exactly what to look for in a PS. I consider myself a very prudent person (I interviewed 4 different doctors before going with this one), but I had no way of knowing how important board certification is. If I'd known then what I know now, I'd have dug a little deeper and found that he was actually a family doctor who switched over to cosmetic surgery--not a plastic surgeon (yes, there's a difference). All of the information about him on the web is very misleading. Yes, pictures are VITAL. I will get mine up ASAP. Seriously, I wouldn't go with a doctor who has really bad reviews. It's very time-consuming and emotionally draining to post bad reviews (I put mine off for a long time before my conscience made me do it), so I would trust what those patients have to say. At least take your time to do plenty of research first. It's better that than make the mistake of a lifetime. If you want to see photos, message the reviewers. It might be that they're ashamed or embarrassed to post pics (trust me, I understand). Good luck with everything!!!

YEah, exactly !!! I am really hesitant to try this Dr. in Texas, tho I have seen some GREAT before & After photos...I have also read some horriffic reviews (but no photos of the awful work) . SO you see why I am so eager. Again, I am so sorry for what you ust be going through. Sending lots of love.
June 25, 2013
That's really sweet. Thanks so much. Right back at ya. (And make sure you do whatever you can to verify that the photos you are seeing are, in actuality, those of the doctor in question. It's not difficult for doctors to use others' photos. Of course, you can also assume that, even if those are the doctor's photos, they're only his/her best work . . . )

I am 5'6 167 lbs. he took enough fat out TT is okay but after reading your Review I am really scared to have him do anything else to me. I need more lipo I gained a little weight for 2nd bbl which I was told would only cost me 1500 for Anesthesia .OMG now I am sooo nervous. Where can I find more info about Dr. Pratt ? Forgot to tell you I spend 15000 on this surgery for bbl and TT,i do not want to spend another 5000 dollars for 2nd BBL WITH ANOTHER Surgeon. He should fix it but can I trust him again. Is there anyone else out there that had Surgery with Dr.Broc Pratt??
November 13, 2014
My advice is not to trust him again. I ran out of space in my description, above, but there's even more to the story. After I finally got him to acknowledge the fact that way too much fat was taken out, he said he could fix it, no problem. This was a red flag because by then I'd done a lot of research and discovered it was a MUCH bigger deal than what he wanted me to believe. Still, I didn't want to have to spend the big money to go to another doctor when Pratt was offering a repair for just the cost of anesthesia. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of letting him do a fat graft to fill some of the deformity. The result was that he took most of what I had left of usable fat (from my abdomen) and performed a fat graft that didn't stick--AT ALL. When he offered to do it again, for another fee, I'd had it. I ended up going to a different doctor, and now three surgeries later, I almost look half-way normal. I still won't wear a bathing suit, and am planning a fourth follow-up surgery (That'll be six surgeries in all for me!). I can't believe his RN is coaxing you into this! She has to know! One of Pratt's RNs works for my new doctor now!! She didn't go into detail, but just said she couldn't work there anymore. The nurses at my new doctor say they're getting more and more of Pratt's patients for fixes like mine. I wouldn't let that man touch my body again, if I were you.

And I forgot to say: I'm SO SORRY for your experience. It's so traumatizing. My heart feels for you. You'll get through it. Just make the right choices for yourself from here on out. Good luck, and please let me know how things go.

hanks you for your kind words your intel will help me in making my decision and not use doctor Pratt again. My husband will not be happy having to spend more money on the same surgery. But what I forgot to mention is that one of my b*** cheeks is smaller than the other. The New Doctor you're using now does he do BbL's ? Thank you again for your Intel . Have a fantastic Day:-)

No problem! I'm so happy to share! If I can just help other people avoid the same trauma I've been through at Pratt's hands, I'm healing in a way. I'm not sure if bbl is the new doctor's specialty, but he DOES perform fat grafts the CORRECT way (there is a right and wrong way to both harvest the fat and graft it). Also, he's artful when it comes to reshaping the body, which is extremely important. All of the fat grafts he has done for me (three so far) have taken. My body looks completely different than it did when I first went to him (and in a better way)!

Be careful going off of pictures, I went to a Dr that retouched and photo shopped his pics and I ended up buchered. I didn't realize his pics were Re touched until he printed my before and after pics out, and speaking to a lady who works for a different ps, she retouched pics for the Dr she works for and told me it's common and that a lot of Dr's do it.

I've been meaning to post pics, but the only ones I have are black and white and horrible quality. It's something I need to take the time to do myself. Honestly, I just needed to take a long break from this situation altogether, so I'll try and get to it soon.

so sorry to hear that do you have any before and after pic you feel comfortable posting?

I had surgery by Dr. Pratt and had a great outcome. Three of my friends also had surgery by Dr. Pratt and we are all really happy. Two had breast augmentations, 1 had a tummy tuck with lipo and I had a tummy tuck with lipo and a breast aug with a lift. I had implants several years ago and it was time to get them redone. I definitely did my homework on my doctor! One thing that I noticed that you wrote was inaccurate. He was never a family doctor. He did a surgery residency then a plastic surgery residency. I checked! He is a plastic surgeon not a cosmetic surgeon as you stated. Anyway, I had a great result and found that he, as well as his staff to be extremely kind and caring. They all went the extra mile and I would recommend him to anyone. Also, I think it might be important to note that the first doctor that did my breasts was not only board certified, but very well known. I asked for 350CC implants and he took it upon himself to put in 525CC implants. I was very upset! Needless to say, board certified isn't everything and I would assume that it is extremely hard to make everyone happy all of the time. Dr. Pratt seems to have really good reviews with the exception of this one. Sorry things didn't come out how you had hoped with your surgery, but I really don't think one person's disappointment means he is a bad surgeon. I think he's a great surgeon and have never heard anything but great things about him! Like I said, I would recommend him to all of my friends and I would definitely go with him again.

He was a family physician it's on the internet

That's so good you had great results, do you mind sharing with the rest of us to advertise his great work? You can cut out your face so know one will recognize you or your friends. I have heard rumors that this Dr is not a real plastic surgeon and have been warned not to see him by other plastic surgeons.
June 1, 2015
He is NOT board certified. There's no arguing that. Board certification is no guarantee but it's at least an indication of advanced training in plastic surgery. Some Dr. Pratt's unhappy patients are now at my current doctor, getting Pratt's work corrected! I've run into them! I'm glad to hear you had a good experience, but Dr. Pratt has a horrible reputation amongst his unhappy patients and the staff who must repair the work he has done. Even separate from the undeniably grotesque mess he made of my body, the fact that at first he pretended he didn't see it is enough to make him a bad surgeon. Who wants to go to a surgeon who ignores their concerns? That was by far one of the scariest things I've experienced in my lifetime and I'll do whatever I can to help others avoid it. I've just had my fifth corrective surgery and I think it will be my last. Dr. Pratt started me on a nightmare that cost me tens of thousands of dollars and almost three years of my life. THERE'S NO REASON TO RISK SURGERY WITH DR. PRATT WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY WONDERFUL, EXPERIENCED, BOARD CERTIFIED SURGEONS TO CHOOSE FROM.

I have a feeling this person works for Dr. Pratt. I've only heard horrible things about him. I wish I'd have done more intensive research before my surgery. :(

I'm sorry about your experience with Dr Pratt, I have the same problem from another plastic surgeon that removed fat where I wanted to keep it, really hard to fix because I'm being told I don't have enough fat to transfer. How did your reconstruction go? If your happy with your results could you share the reconstruction Dr's name you found so I can consult with him?

I sent you a message. :)

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Pratt and his staff. They were all so attentive and kind and made me feel comfortable and went out of their way to put my worries to ease. I would recommend him to anyone.
