Slept ok, I kept waking up because I had to pee from drinking So much water. I’d change my over night pad then as well (did want to wake up in slop). Soreness for sure, but manageable. Walking around seems to loosen up the tightness but I get tired pretty quick.

Surgery day
I was so nervous, I thought there was no way any medicine was going to help. The gave me an anxiety med and pain med and in about 20 minutes, nervousness was gone.
The laid me on the bed, cleaned my right side and the doctor came in and walked me through each step. First he gave me a shot to numb the spots for incisions (felt like a bee sting for about 3 secs). Then he said he was making a small incision (didn’t feel that). Then came the numbing part, this part wasn’t pleasant, but it was manageable. I didn’t cry or scream out in pain, they had given me a stress ball and I was squeezing that thing a hard as I could. The numbing part lasted about 3 mins. When that was done he went in with the laser to loosen up the fat, there was no pain, it felt odd, but no pain. Next was the suction, again no pain, just odd feeling.
He did the same on the left side and did a small section in the middle of my back. (I did have too Break twice to go pee). He stitched up the top incisions and the one in the middle of my back. Said the other two would drain out the numbing fluid. The nurse helped me with my compression garment (they taped small foam pads on my back for smoothness) and I was on my way.
I walked out of there like normal (besides being stuffed with gauze and foam on my back). The numbness lasted Around 3 hours then I cold feel tightness and soreness. For me this is not “pain” just discomfort. No tears or crying out in pain….. just tender soreness. The most tender is around my armpits which I think it probably because that’s pretty sensitive.
The leaking of fluid is probably the worst. It just gets everywhere. There’s no way to stop it or “hold it in” it just Leaks. I was stuffing an overnight pad on the lower back in my pants. This would suck up most of the Fluid so I did leak everywhere all the time. I wold change it every hour or so. I took the pain meds once for sleep and they made me nauseous so Ive switched to extra strength Tylenol.
Supplies: over night pads (a bout a whole bag)
Arnica tablets
Water (tons)
Tylenol
Shower curtain (on the bed under the sheet)
Tape (to tap the pads the the bed)
Garbage bags to throw the pads away

Night before
I am extremely nervous. I think I got everything I need, just trying to focus on the positives. I keep reminding myself that this will be all worth it.
Tomorrow at 12:30 my procedure begins. (Crossing fingers)
