I come from a family of big boobs, but mine are still growing at this age!!! Before children in my early 20s I was a sexy 34C, two children later, divorce, weightloss and gain and now peri menopausal they have grown to a whopping 36L (UK size) and still growing! I did lose lots of weight abt 10 years ago and they went down to 32J so still not small. I never thought I would 'man up' and get a BR as I pass out at the sight of blood and hate needles, but enough is enough!! I'm still young and hopefully have many years ahead of me, so I have decided to get it done. I hate the constant pain of the bras, the heaviness of my chest, the shoulder and back pain, the snidey comments, I want to feel like a sexy woman again and not just a pair of boobs!
So op is booked on 21st Aug with the same surgeon my partners daughter had 4 years ago. I think I am all ready. My bag is packed, I have bought countless pairs of button up PJs and tops. I am in hospital 2 nights and have been told the drains will be removed before I leave hospital thankfully. I am not brave enough yet to show my naked boobs (haven't taken a photo of them yet) but will try and upload a before photo in my bra.

I think this op should make a considerable difference to you. We have our age in common and my op is a few days after yours, but I know Slough well and had a successful op on my nose 22 years ago at Wexham Park.

Good luck. I am three weeks post op tomorrow and am also in the UK. Like you I was big and this op has made such a difference. I keep having to look in the mirror to prove that I've had it done. You will be the same. I hardly needed the button up pyjamas as within a day or two I could put on anything over my head and wore hospital gowns in hospital. The nurses insisted on this so that they dealt with any seepage of blood and not my husband! Lying in bed now wearing my 32E sports bra and am feeling tiny. There is still lots of swelling and bruising so I envisage bein smaller, but I am quite happy as I am. Keep positive!

I was just reading your original post again. I would never have shown my boobs to anyone pre op and now am happy enough to show friends that ask! Massive change for me!

Same here! I never walked around topless in front of my partner before, I was embarrassed by how big and low they were. And my friends that have asked to see them now, I have no issues showing them! And it's funny, even though my body's not perfect, I feel a lot less hung up on things that might have made me feel insecure before. I think a lot of my body image issues were centered around my large breasts.
