I’m Finally Approved

UPDATED FROM Patiently.Waiting86

Finally over

I actually had to change my surgery date to 9/5/19. Everything went very well. Little to no pain. The only downside is it’s kind of hard for me to keep up with my liquid intake. So I’m forcing down liquids. I’ll post before pics as well.

Height: 5’6”
HW: 225
SW: 221
GW: 165

Glad to hear it all went well! I hope it gets easier with the liquids. :)

I’m Finally Approved

I’ve been researching for about two years regarding the sleeve. I went through a six month weight management class. My initial appointment was on 1/11/19 and I started weight management classes on 2/16/19 my final appointment was 7/12/19. I was approved through BCBS on 7/19/19. I’m 5’6” and between 218- 219. I’m so nervous and excited all at the same time. I’m scheduled for surgery on 8/21/19. I have my pre op appointment on 8/16/19. If I can think of anything else I’ll let you guys know!! Fingers crossed

Thank you for sharing the beginning of your journey. Best of luck! Looking forward to your next update :)

Thank you
Life is about to get so much better! Surgery is always scary and the first day or two may be rough getting in and out of bed so spend time in a chair. If you have a recliner, you might want to sleep in it for the first couple of night, again because of issues getting in and out of bed. I had surgery on a Monday and drove myself to the doctor on Friday. I wasn't moving as fast as I normally would but it went OK. I went back to work after a week. Good luck!
Glad to hear you had quick recovery. I’m praying the same for me
How did it go? I hope you're recovering well?
Hi! It went really well. Thanks for asking. I’m just resting and drinking much as possible
Oh that's great to hear! :)
Hello did you have to lose any weight before surgery?
No since my BMI was right at 35.2
