4 Month Update
Feel great, No regrets, Bumpy ride but I'm loving my life and loving myself! Hair is thinning out badly though.. Bad I'm not fussy, Always cold though.. It's summer in Sydney and everyday is about 38 degrees right now.. I have the heater on under my desk! When it's about 23 degrees I need a jumper for sure. I went snowboarding in Japan last month and almost died from the cold! I wonder if this will pass.. I have read that it doesn't which doesn't concern me as I can actually enjoy Summers now!

You look really great sorry it's been so rough for you but you look super good
Oh you're such a darling thank you!
Thank you for sharing!! Who was your doctor and how much did you pay?
I can't remember his name but it was with a surgeon in Bangkok it ended up being 15 grand
Did you have to travel to Thailand to get someone to perform it or? I’m kind of blown away that they were willing to do a sleeve with not a high BMi and no co morbidity. I’m a lot bigger than you but I figured I wouldn’t get approved yet since I’m not “morbidly” obese and don’t have diabetes. Maybe it’s worth a try . I felt like they’d laugh me out of the office.
Yep, I went to Bangkok.
I actually had diabetes and I showed them progressively with my DR that I had been gaining about 4-5 kilos every year from around 2013 so it helped a lot, I actually got approved in Sydney but it was about $32,000 and I thought god no Bangkok it is!
They won't laugh if you're serious about it and are genuinely concerned about your health.
I have heard it all, I have had lots of judgments and questions through everyone ( work, friends, nurses, people online ) At the end of the day I now don't have diabetes I feel healthy, I'm more active, I feel really comfortable in my own skin, I have stretch marks so deep and purple I hated it but now I love it I feel sexy and I feel great. At the end of the day you do you who cares if they laugh, Just say " Thank you, Next! "

Please send me an update! I have surgery booked in 2 days and scared... I’m BMI 33. Thanks - scared of never being able to eat normally ...or chronic nausea ... has it improved for you?
No.. Has not improved at all.. It's really hard because i travel a lot for work and I get to eat such wonderful different foods... not anymore.. and everything seems so wasteful since i can only eat a few spoonfuls.. You can get take away but it'll last you week lol
Also i dont eat out with friends or co workers and havent been on a date since surgery, I tried it with work lunch and everyone was just staring and asking why i wasnt eating nd blah blah people in my office genuinely think im anorexic its very awkward now lol

So sorry to hear about your rough experience. I was booked in November with a BMI of 32 but cancelled the surgery. Your review helped me make up my mind, together with others. I hope you start to feel better soon.
Hi so its now about three months and it has improved soooo much! I don't get light headed anymore, My skin has gone back to normal, my hair is normal everything's kind of went back to normal no more hives that GOODNESS! I am now down to 50 kgs and in my mind i'm still big its so crazy, I get all this attention now and i'm genuinely so confused as to why but I still feel like my normal self, I feel like because I wasn't majorly overweight this hasn't been like a huge life changing moment but right now at three months it has been worth it - I haven't been 50 since 2006 and I do feel more active and I have more energy, I feel young again haha
So glad to hear you are doing better!! I was feeling worried there for awhile...lol
