Updated review, 7 week results!
I've been keeping notes at home with my ongoing experience...
After 1 week (Dec 21):
First off, I can definitely say I am not enjoying the smell of this product. It’s very “metallic” smelling, and it does linger quite a while. It’s also very thick, I’d even say slightly sticky and hard to spread evenly. Even after reviewing the application instructions, I’m not a fan of the technique to “press” and tap it on. I just don’t find it’s covering my face well. I’ve been using about 5 drops for my face and another 2 for my neck. I am not applying to decollete/upper chest area. On a positive note, the dry patches I had on my cheeks and forehead are definitely looking better already. I have to admit I was a little concerned with using 15% Ascorbic Acid since my face is super sensitive, but no issues at all! I am applying a facial SPF30 to my face afterwards for protection.
After 3 weeks (Jan 4):
I’m getting better at applying the product and am down to only having to use 4 drops on my face and 2 on neck area. Still not liking this smell, but if it makes positive changes to my skin, it’ll be worth it. My dry patches have definitely been doing better, however, during week 2 I travelled for the Christmas holidays to a part of Canada that is extremely dry. This definitely caused the dry patches to be aggravated. Once I returned home from vacation, the dryness subsided. I only missed one day of applying the product. My face has been feeling softer and smoother throughout the day and especially right after application.
After 5 weeks (Jan18):
I’m not really sure this has done much in terms of fine lines and wrinkles…yet…however I definitely have a healthier glow and it'll be easier to tell once I take pics in a couple weeks. I’ve mostly been focusing on my face and don’t always apply it to my heck. What I discovered works great is to lightly use a cotton pad with my micellar product immediately beforehand, and while my face is still slightly damp/dewy, apply the serum. It spreads SO much better! I am then able to apply my usual makeup routine. I don’t get extra oily throughout the day as others have discovered. I’m noticing my face is not as “bumpy”, my dryness is completely gone and it looks like my skin tone is more even. I did have a couple pimples pop up over the past month or so, but I’m prone to occasional breakouts and don’t think this was caused by Skinceuticals.
Jan 31 (1 day shy of 7 weeks):
Left pics are before, right pics are after. My face definitely feels more firm to the touch. My dry patches are all gone. I do admit I didn’t have much of a real face care routine before starting, so the fact that I am now putting ANYTHING on my face is likely what's helped the dry spots. I had a couple dark spots/freckles under my left eye that appear lighter. My neck creases are pretty much the same.
Right side of face: The redness that I had on my cheek is mostly evened out. The very fine crepey lines under my eye are much less noticeable. The lines around my mouth appear the same.
Left side of face: The dry spots are gone. The laugh lines appear less pronounced, although still noticeable. I still have a few red splotches near the side of my mouth, but that may be due to the harsh winds and cold these past few days.
Overall, I do see a few improvements, mostly in the dry spots being gone and overall more even skin tone. Some minor improvements in fine lines. In the past 7 weeks, I’ve used about a third of the bottle, so it’ll be interesting to see how things go once I finish the whole thing. I’m estimating I have at least 3-4 more months use out of this bottle. This is a little pricey for my budget, however if the improvements continue, it may be worth it to buy one after I finish my bottle. Thumbs up from me.

Review of C E FERULIC WITH 15% L-ASCORBIC ACID
Super excited to be taking part in reviewing this product as part of the RealFriends program! Now that the cold weather is here, my skin is very dry and dehydrated, with some red splotchiness in areas. There are dry flaky patches on my forehead, cheeks and chin. I also have fine lines and crepey skin around my eyes, a deeper frown line, and deeper lines on the sides of my mouth. The skin on my neck has a crease and has also lost elasticity and is loose. I'm hoping to see some positive changes with Skinceuticals! Including some "BEFORE" pics where you can see dry patches, large pores and lines. Starting tomorrow AM, and ill be updating regularly, so stay tuned!
