I’ve been using this product for 6 weeks + 3 days.
The texture is awful. I had to mix it with a moisturizer just to get it spread fully around my face. I’m sure that made it less effective, but I would have had to use half the tube otherwise because it’s so weirdly sticky. I would not purchase this for $80 when there are glycolic acid products that work great, spread smoothly, and absorb well for $10-15.
I also didn’t see any change in my skin, which the pictures confirm. I wouldn’t really expect to from just exfoliating, but sometimes you can convince yourself you look better because you paid so much for a product and really want it to work.
If you’re thinking of purchasing this do yourself a favor and get a sample first. I’m sure there is probably a skin type this would work for, but it for sure wasn’t me. I’ll probably use this up on my feet.

30 day update
Still not loving this because I’m having to find workarounds to deal with the texture. What I’m doing now to get it to spread around on my face is mixing it in with some of my moisturizer. That works but I’m sure it makes it less effective.
I also don’t feel like it’s really doing anything special, especially considering I have other glycolic products that do the same thing for a quarter of the price.
I did get the scaly patch on my lip that I was watching out for, but it went away quickly and hasn’t come back since I’ve been more careful about keeping it away from my lips. So I guess this would maybe be good for someone who has trouble using glycolic acid products.
I’m sad because I do like some other Skinceuticals products and was excited to try this one. I’ll do one more review and post my after pictures at the end.

Two week update
Note: I wrote this two week update at the two week mark, but when I came back to do my 30 day update it looks like it didn’t actually post. Please excuse the incorrect date!
During the first week of use I developed some visible flaking on my forehead. I also got a few small pimples around my nose and hairline.
During the second week I got pretty dry around my mouth to where my smile lines randomly started burning in a meeting I was in on Monday. I also noticed this morning that I have rash on both cheeks.
I wasn’t able to get pictures of any of that using my phone camera. I’d say it’s noticeable to me but not to others.
I continue to not really like the product texture. I tried misting my face first thinking that would help it spread more easily, but that almost makes it worse. On a dry face it is hard to spread and just sticks wherever it makes first contact with your skin. On a damp face it slides around and you feel like it’s not depositing anything. I feel like you have to use a lot to get it all over your face.
I don’t know, I guess we’ll see.
