I am 4'11 and currently weight 120 lbs. Four years ago I stepped on the scale at a pre-employment physical and almost had a heart attack. It said 176 lbs! At the time I was in a healthcare professional school and working full time so I used diet alone to lose my weight. After losing 53 lbs I still wasn't really happy. I still felt chunky. I then started running. Typically I ran 10 miles a week. I still only made it down to 117 lbs. I was much more lean but still had a belly. Finally I started looking into coolsculpting. I had my first session on feb 1, 2017.
The pain during the procedure wasn't bad at all. I had two curved applicators on my lower abdomen and one flat one on my upper abdomen. When she took off the first applicator I instantly felt sick. Cold sweats, shaky, nauseous. This went away quickly and I proceeded with the other two applicators. Each time I was not a fan of the feeling when they were taken off but I toughed it out.
The next morning I was a little sore, nothing more than a post workout soreness. Day 2-same. Day 3-back to 80% with an occasional twingeing pain. Day 4 and 5 same. Now on day 6 I started to experience what they call "late onset pain." They say 10-15% of patients experience this. Lucky me. The best way to describe it is it feel like I have 2-3rd degree burns across my rib cage. I tried compression wear, heating pad, Tylenol, ibuprofen....finally I called the facility that performed it. She suggested more ibuprofen and ice packs. The ice packs have helped but I ended up taking 1/2 loratab every 4 hrs or so. I am still swollen by my rib cage. The lady told me she would talk to the doctor and see if lidocaine injections would help.
To be honest I'm not looking forward to my second session at all. Unless I see pretty decent changes I cannot say this is worth it.
I will say that I read other reviews and thought everyone who complained of pain were just big babies. I take that back now.

Two weeks after

So it's been two weeks now. I'm still feeling pain. Both the searing, burning pain as well as muscle soreness. It's still only on my upper abdomen where I had the flat applicator. On day 10 I actually had to go in to the office to have lidocaine injections for the pain. Not sure if I should go ahead with my second treatment or not

Hi! Thank you for updating us on your results. I am really interested to do it. I am also 4'11 and weighs 100lbs. I have belly fat that won't go away. I had an assessment with ideal image and was told I needed 4 small applicators for 2,400$. I was really eager to go ahead with it. Hope you can upload more pictures on your results. Thank you so much!

Wow, sorry to hear! I thought this might have been a way to fix my botched lipo, but I'm glad I just had it re-lipoed now after reading this.

I think you should give it a bit more time. I waited about 3 months in between each session I had. I am still happy I did it - the only problem is it can be addicting once you know if it works lol. And the results do take a while to show, plus it's only a subtle difference sometimes if you don't have much fat to begin with. Wish you luck

How are you feelin now? Have you seen any results? Thinking of round two still?

I returned to 100% normal about 3-3 1/2 weeks post treatment. I am scheduled to go back for my second session on 4/24. Ive opted not to do my upper abdomen after having so much pain the first time. I am noticing results, not dramatic but I don't feel like a dog that just had puppies anymore! That's a plus.

Interesting, and thank you for the info and updates. One last question because I am weighing in on others results. When they removed the suction was the area a frozen raised block or just extremely cold? I just had three areas treated on Monday and am just curious what others encountered. ( sorry for the spelling error in my last post)

To be honest, I didn't look until after the massage. Partially I did this because I didn't want to be grossed out by my own body and partially because I was in a lot of pain I was trying to focus on breathing. I think the frozen block is common especially if you have a decent amount of loose fat. I don't regret doing it but I think it's important that people realize it's not a completely pain free procedure like they make it seem.

So all numbness and pain are gone. I'm noticing that my stomach does feel harder I guess you can say. My measurements are the same and I think I'm actually up a few pounds. My pants feel the same however. I think that means something maybe. I still haven't scheduled my second session. I'm a tad nervous still.

I got coolsculpting. 5'1 120lbs and absolutely no change. It was the biggest waste of 2000$ I've ever spent
March 18, 2017
Mind if I ask when you had it done? It sounds like it can take as long as 6 months to see results.

I got it done in October! Absolutely no change and then I later read that most people see no change at all. Wish I would've known that before. and even worse some people have reverse effects and it enlarges twice the size

I had it done on feb 1st. I am finally noticing some slight results. I have actually gained a little weight but my pants still feel the same. Typically if I gained anything over a couple of lbs I would already notice them being a bit tighter. I gain all my weight in my abdomen usually.
