2nd Set of Aligner + IPR and attachment done
Went for IPR and fitting of attachment today
1.
A total of 16 attachments to be fix ( 10 op top and 6 below)
IPR is weird... and when the dentist mentioned drill... I keep having the image of some horror movie
Luckily everything went well. No discomfort or what so ever
2.
Attachment
Fitting of attachment is smooth sailing too without any discomfort.
Once all was done. I immediately feel something wrong with the teeth.
Which is actually the attachments. It just feel so weird . I guess need time to get use to it
The doctor gave me 4 sets of aligners and told me I dont really need to come back so often for checkup. But i can definitely call or arrange a session if i feel anything is wrong.
2nd set of Aligner
After hearing all this stories of the aligners with attachment will be painful and tough to take out.
I brace myself and put on the aligners
This time round.. its quite hard to take out. And its actually tight. I hope it really work magic.
I do feel a bit of numbness in the gum and small headache at the back of my head. I wonder if its due to the aligner.
But the uncomfort went away after a while.
I hope the teeth start shifting soon and magic appear!
Remarks :
I having problem chewing or eating even after i take out my aligners.
The attachments are so disturbing.. food will get stuck ( the feeling sucks) , and when bitting i keep feeling that i bitting the attachment ( it feel rocky ), I wonder why though since its at the front of teeths and not on top . I'm scared i will bit it off or swallow it when it come out haha.
Points to note :
1. Dont ever cut my nails too short. The aligner is hard to take out
2. Chewies is important i feel, now whenever i put back in. it feels like it didnt snug properly

I am a 31 years old male and always feel like having braces as my teeth were overcrowded and discolor . It makes me scared of actually smiling
But the horror stories of extracting tooth and the ulcers terrified me
Finally decided to wear for invisalign consultation and decided to go for it once doctor told me no extraction was needed. If not now, then when right? ( Of course , after that have to do a bit of whitening to at least be nicer and more confident)
After clincheck , was confirmed that I will need to have 19 sets of Aligner, hopefully I wont have to extend too much for the refinement.
1st day of Aligner
From what my doc said, the 1st set is just for me to get use to the aligner. althought i already feel a bit of aching at molar area
for the 2nd set will be the actual teeth shifting aligner with the attachments too
The aligner feel very tight especially at front part. and somehow i feel i cant have a bite properly. as my teeth at the side keep hitting each other. Although when I tried it on at the clinic the doc said nothing wrong when he inspected.
Hopefully I will have the discipline in wearing it and can survive the 2nd set ( I heard horror stories on the pain and the difficulty in taking it out )
