ETS Surgery for Sweaty Palms - Singapore

Its now been 5 weeks post surgery, and I must say the results and recovery have been going spectacularly well! After removing the stitches which was 2 weeks post surgery, I resumed some lower body workouts such as running and body weight leg exercises. 3 weeks after the surgery and I was already feeling good, but still not 100%, I could finally sleep on my side but I still stuck to light lower body exercises. By the 4th week however, I was completely fine and resumed all strenuous physical activity, with intense boxing training 2 hours a day 4 times a week, coupled with tennis trainings 3 times a week with no ill effects. This regiment continues up to today and there have been no problems or recurrances of sweaty palms whatsoever. As for compensatory sweating, I now sweat more on my chest, back and legs, but this only happens when I engage in exercise and I do not sweat doing normal activities such as walking or studying. The severed sensory nerve that I mentioned in my previous update which caused my left armpit to be completely numb has completely gone, and I have regained all sensations in my left armpit, feeling as I did before the surgery. The surgical incisions are now merely scars that are about 1 inch long and it doesn't bother me at all. All in all, its been everything the doctor has promised and slightly more, cuz my armpits have stopped sweating as well!! Would definitely recommend this surgery to anyone suffering from sweaty palms as it really is a life changer. One thing to note is I opted for the burning of the nerve instead of clamping the nerve, this is important as the surgeon has said that complete burning of the nerve is the more recommended form of treatment.

I've just had ETS surgery exactly 2 weeks ago. I grew up with Sweaty palms and it caused a lot of problems when I was a child all the way till 2 weeks ago. I am 18 now. It would cause me to smudge ink all over my worksheets because my hands would just keep sweating, really making a messy situation out of a simple task like doing my homework. Futhermore, I played tennis for my school in high school, and it was just a real burden having to bring three rackets around to training so I could switch between the three when the grips got wet. It got to a point where I was carrying a small towel with me everywhere I went just to towel off my hands every now and then. It also made handshakes and anything that required grip very difficult at times. It was 3 months ago that I finally decided to have the procedure done and I must say I have no regrets. I woke up with dry hands immediately after the surgery, and I also found that my armpits had stopped sweating as well. Only my feet remained the same which is fine by me, because I'm just so used to it. I've developed some compensatory sweating from my upper thighs and lower back, but it only occurs when the weather is really hot or when I engage in physical exercise. The stitches have been removed yesterday and the site of the incision is still a bit painful, like a bruise, so I can't really engage in an strenuous physical activity yet, and the doctor told me to wait 1 more week and I should be at 100%. I have not experienced any sweating from my palms after the surgery and I would recommend this surgery for anyone who does not have any pre-existing medical conditions, and would like to get rid of their sweaty palms.
However, I have experienced some numbness around my left armpit which the surgeon said may be a result of a damaged sensory nerve, but it is not permanent and will resolve without treatment in 3 months time. I do not know how true this is but I will keep this updated if the side effect resolves.
