Side Effect of Fractional Co2

$1,500

Since the fractional co2 procedures in 2014. The damage caused by the thermal heat is unrepairable. My life is completely ruined. Look at the Long depressed line on my cheek that appeared after co2. No one would believe I don't have that depressed line before co2! I was depressed and devastated and spent a lot more to fix the scars but the line is still there. What should I do?

Very unprofessional. Keep saying it's my skin problem. Refuse to return the photos taken before all treatments. It is the prove that I don't have that Long scar on my cheek! Ask me to find a lawyer if I can afford it!

Hi, just want to say that I'm so sorry this happened to you, and YES, that doctor should absolutely pay for this mistake and I hope you can take him to court. However, it makes me so sad to hear you feel your life is over....I am experiencing a change in my face too, my nose has developed scar tissue and has become very large and I often feel the same way you do. However, I would love to trade your skin for my nose. To me, I can see what is bothering you and I understand how hard it is to have marks or changes on your own face but it honestly is hardly noticeable. Fight for your rights, but still go out and live your life. I wish I had your marked skin and not a huge nose in the middle of my face. You are still attractive. I am not. Enjoy your life. No one cares about or even notices the little scars but you. Honestly. I would pay to trade with you. Smile and you are beautiful.
Thank you so much for your story. I have been researching lasers for acne scars for 3 years for now, tried some with bad outcome and started to reasesch seriously since. I have not read a single review!! Or heard from the doctor or saw the picture That laser helps to reduce acne scars( or it does at the beginning because of the swelling and after about a year everything comes to an initial stage... and if just this we could live with this... but why all the doctors do not say the truth about side effects?? I talk to many doctors, they all try to sell the laser they have. I was lucky to meet the doc who said the truth: only C02 could make the difference to the scars and it will be maximum 30%!!! And if you get side effects well.. it is your individual skin reaction..... Is it worth taking all the risks to get only 30% improvement? Or less or zero?
I have done Genesis twice which aged me rapidly and tried Fraxel which did the same plus new scars. So now when I explaine to the doc my bad experience they say Oh you shoul do CO2 now...
I am so sorry for you, my lines after Genesis are still here after 3 years.
Hi, I had acne scars that looked like yours before, a long line about 5cm along my left cheek, I did like 13 times co2 fractional laser spaced 45 days apart to get rid of it and other small box scars and rolling scars on both right and left cheeks, on the 10th laser since the improvements were mild, I decided to take a risk by telling the doc to go for high power despite mine is asian skin type, the doc agreed to try 20 and never did beyond that, and the doc had 3 passes surprisingly the results was beyond my expectation those box scars, rolling scars and the long line 5cm scars started to dissapear, the 11th laser the doc did 4 passes and the power setting was 24 the result was even beyond my imagination, the line and the box scars are almost not visible, until now I am still recovering from the 13th laser, the doc did 7 passes and 22 power setting since the scars are almost invisible, I did that to make my skin tone more even, dont give up
Hi there! I just read your comment and it made me so hopeful. I will have my first Co2 laser in a week. Please can you share some pictures of before and after you did the laser? I would appreciate it so much!
Did u go for treatment again.
Hi, I am also from Singapore, and have originally just wanted to get roaccutance for some minor outbreaks, but was recommended a CO2 micro peel on the spot (end Feb).

It been two months (9 weeks) since I have a CO2 micro peel and i experience very dry skin and bad orange peel texture that i sure was i didn't have before. I can see very bad texture under certain lightings.

I went back to the doctor and was told that the texture is because it is dry and will get better. After reading many reviews, i am worried this is already the final result and i stuck with the orange peel texture. I also worry my skin will not heal from dryness. I feel like the orange peel texture is because of the microscopic pattern from laser.

I done IPL frequently before from a different clinic and have good results always until this CO2 micro peel. I am now both worried, depressed and confused what I should do.
How is your depressed "lined" scar today? Did it fill up with fillers or otherwise?

Pending case

I had written to the medical council and lutronic headquarter but both seem not doing anything. I had suffered from depression and find my life meaningless with that ugly line on my face. The doctor who did this still refuse to solve my problem and kept saying is my own skin? I spend a lot trying to fix the scars caused by the laser but i think is unrepairable. I just hope the doctor who did this to me will be punished.

I know how you feel, I really do. I had erbium laser 10yrs ago. If you read my posts you'll see I have been to hell & back. I'm still dealing with bad scars & dents from the laser. Spent thousands & I live like a hermit, can' sleep. Stress, anxiety. I know some will say get over it, blah blah blah but if it didn't happen to them they have no idea. I know other are worse and I feel for them too. If it were anywhere else I wouldn't care. but it's all over & deep. My skin is so sensitive & make up makes it look worse. I can't seem to get any moisture anymore, I used to be oily. I have had & used everything. I'm hoping to hear & get a new treatment called RecoSMA It's not in the US yet but maybe it's where you live. You can look it up & see if one is near you. Let me know what you think.
Desiree how are you now?
Jocye lim clinic . Have u try his skill ?
don;t try joyce lim, she too ruined my skin and just shrug off her shoulder once i got back for complain. she did not even 'prep' my skin with skincare to check the resilient of my skin before doing fraxel. i went to Dr. S.K Tan instead and use his medical grade skincare...thanks GOD i went to him since it rectified the texture issue though not 100%. He advices me to do Picosure to rectify the texture problem from Joyce Lim's Fraxel but I still have no guts doing another laser. in fact, i'd try needling first
try filler in the line

I think a combination of dermastamping and saline injections would give you great results. These are inexpensive solutions with very little downtime, that are safe for all skin tones, without the risks that lasers carry. Another benefit is that right after the saline injection, you should see the scars completely leveled up and smooth. This generally lasts anywhere from hours to days, but you will likely get an improvement that builds over time after each session. For some, this means that their skin never goes completely back to where it was prior, and each time it levels up a little bit more. For others, their skin will appear to go completely back to baseline, but over time they see significant improvements. The results do vary considerably, from patient to patient, just as with dermarolling.

A doctor who is well known for using saline injections on scars reported a 20-80% improvement after 6-8 injections, which I think were usually spaced 2 weeks apart. Dermastamping should improve your results further. Dermastamping alone will help build collagen and remodel skin, but in addition will help break up tethered scars which will help the saline injections be more affective. You could also try subcision with suctioning, but the downtime will be way greater. Good luck to you!

Here is a video that speak to the Dermapen:

I think saline injections are completely gimmicky. I'm very familiar with that doctor and he has not presented any compelling evidence that it works. OP, I think you will have much better results with subcision and suctioning. Fat transfer might be a good option to fill the deep scars. I would avoid any c02 laser, no matter what the brand or company.
thank you so much.

Hi there, we would love an update on how you are doing -- hope to hear from you soon.

Swiss doctor are not a board certificate skin doctor in Singapore. NOT AWARD BY MOH .
How did you know that? I already write to smc. But I thought he is a certified laser doctor when I read his medical background. He totally destroyed my face, he create a deep line on my cheek and his sister the boss still shout and accused me of extortion, framing them. so I went to the Singapore medical centre to complaint. if unsuccessful, I will tell the public or find a lawyer.

I already went to a few doctor at mt. ellizabeth. but none of them understand what is the line. I spend another few thousands but just couldn't fix it.i ask for my photo taken before the laser at swiss clinic but they dun want to release so I think they trying to cover up his mistake.
