The procedure I had was a tummy tuck with liposuction. I had researched having this procedure for about three years. Over those three years, I had spoken with the staff at The Wall Center on several occasions and was extremely happy with their customer service over the phone. Finally I built up the nerve to have this done. All four doctors at The Wall center had impeccable backgrounds so I didn't know which one to pick. I called again and spoke with Wendy at the front desk and explained to her the type of surgeon I was looking for based on my personality and she suggested having a consultation with Dr. Michael Lee. When I arrived at my consultation I met Dr. Lee and I felt very comfortable with him so I decided to go with him as my surgeon and not have a consult with any of the other doctors because I could feel that I found my perfect match. I had this visit with Dr. Lee on October 2nd and my surgery was scheduled for October 12th. I know that sounds fast but all my pre-op requests were met. Blood work was done, current mammogram, I don't smoke or take any prescription meds and made my payment in full by October 5th. There were additional procedures I had other than the tummy tuck with liposuction which included transferring the fat from my tummy tuck to my buttocks and breast lift with nipple reduction. The three procedures I just mentioned plus an overnight stay in the guest suite with a sitter, anesthesia, operating room fee, Exparel, BioCorneum 50g and Emend all came to an additional fee of $8,881.00. On October 12, 2015 surgery day went well. When I woke up 6 hours later I woke up in a stage 1 garment. I would be lying if I said all these procedures were a breeze and no pain but the truth is there was discomfort that started for me in the middle of the night from the tummy tuck because you cannot use your stomach muscles at all. I really thought I was going to be able to do everything for myself after this surgery but that is far from the truth. When I went home the next day I was able to get around with assistance. Had to sleep in a recliner so it would be easier to get up and down. Getting help with showering and changes bandages take time and seem like a lot of work but worth it once you get clean and smelling good. You will not be able to sit up right and drive so don't even think about it plus you will be on pain meds so no driving! You will have 2 drains that go everywhere with you until they stop draining. After about a week, I started to feel a whole lot better and be able to do things on my own but I did all those things slowly. Each day I was seeing improvement on how I was able to take care of myself on my own. I wore open front button down gowns for the first couple weeks because they are easier to get on and off. I even wore them to my follow up appointments. I took about a month for me to start working out with more walking and some aerobics. The swelling was almost gone and I was noticing how well the breast lift looked, my waistline with less thicker and smaller and my bottom was plump with widened hips. Six months later I am soooo happy and I feel like this was one of the best investments I have ever made for my body. I get so many compliments everywhere I go and no one ever ask me if I had plastic surgery because it all looks so natural and that's a good thing because I don't openly tell people that I have had plastic surgery when they compliment my body. I weighed 175 today when I visited Dr. Lee but I don't even worry about the scale anymore because my waist is so small and my body is so curvy I will just keep losing a couple of pounds a month and continue with my lifestyle change I have made.
