I'm a 30yo mother of two. I've always been a fairly large chested girl. I was a 34c/34d before I got pregnant and with each child they've gone up a few cup sizes. I fluctuate between a 36ddd/E and a 36f. Ideally I'd like to be a full C or Small D. I breastfed both daughters till they were about 15months old. To say that the girls aren't in their anatomically correct position anymore is an understatement! Love my daughters to death but they sucked the life, aka perkiness, out of my breasts. I would like to have them reduced and put back where they belong! My husband is active duty so I'm really hoping that with the history of mid/low back pain and the major divets in my shoulders that I can have it covered by insurance! I scheduled my consult with Dr.Swamy for May 23rd. I'm both excited and anxious about my appointment. Any advice or pertinent questions y'all think I should ask him is greatly appreciated!!
My main concern is nipple tenderness and asymmetry. Was that an issue for any of y'all?

I am having my reduction next week, covered by Tricare Prime. The first thing you need to do is get your PCM to send in a referral to Tricare for the surgery. Once this is approved, you will either be sent to the MTF for a PS consult or you will be asked to choose an In Network PS to do your surgery. If you are sent to an MTF and they do not have an initial appointment in 28 calendar days, you can ask that they defer you back to Tricare for 'Access of Care' once they do this, you will choose an In Network PS... I had my initial PCM appointment on Feb 27th and had approval on March 10th. Good luck.

I went to my PCP and she refered me to a PS that's in network. My husband is a recruiter and where we're at isn't close to any base... I'm scheduled for my first consult I. A couple weeks on the 23rd. I'm really hoping its approved. With my history or back pain and the divets in my shoulders my PCP was optimistic that it will be! Thank you for sharing, it helps ease my mind :) Good luck on your surgery!!

You should have no problem with approval through Tricare then. Mine was a seamless process. Good luck!

I did not ask many questions, for me it was about my vibe with the PS and his staff. I had a list of in network PS, and looked at thousands of boobs before making my decision to have him do my consult. From what I have read, the reduction is one of the easiest to recover from, aside from a split seam, which my PS said you just have to baby the breasts for 6 weeks to make sure that the incision stays closed. I am having a few other items done at the same time that I am paying out of pocket, so I am focusing on whole body recovery.

Did you have consults with several doctors? That's what I'm more worried about... We live in a small city and I'm wondering if I should look at a doctor closer to Dallas.

No, I was pretty confident that I would like this PS based on his social media interactions, reviews, and his flawless work. I would caution using a doctor too far from your home, as you will be getting post op visits often. My PS is 4 miles from my house.

I live in the Sherman area too. I am having my surgery May 23rd, 2017. I am using Dr Papaila. I just love him! Did you have surgery? I know this is an old post but I wanted to check in since we are so close in distance.
