Since I was about 23 years old my eyes have always swelled up and I'm not sure why, maybe genetics but my eye lids slowly stretched causing them to start sagging and it continued to get worse and worse. I wanted this surgery to look younger and not so tired any more. So far I am pleased with the out come.

Wow! Congrats. You were right to do it now...you can enjoy eye liner and make up in your thirties and forties!

Sorry hit the send button too soon. Wanted to say I hated eyeliner in my 40s because it blobbed and ran and sat on my heavy lids and I looked like a panda. Also my eyelashes grew inwards on an angle towards my nose!

Update!

Went to my follow up last week and everything went well. The doc said there is still some swelling in the inner part of my eye because of the fat removal but everything looks great. I have been having ups and downs lately but I think it's because of the swelling:/. I've noticed my lower lids are still swelling and that my upper lids look like I could have had more skin removed.

I have found its two steps forward one back...but it's all forward. Your lumps and bumps should smooth out . Your youth will mean it will be faster than for us in our 50s!

hi vern1313
just wanted to pass some info on that i got from my eye surgeon - i had a blephoroplasty 3 months ago. my surgeon told me that it is better to leave more skin on the upper lid, because as we age, if the skin is too tight on the upper lid it will result in the hollowed out skeleton look - not flattering at all. he also told me that it takes a full year before you see the true results, it really does take that long for everything to settle! one month is very early on - and your eyes are looking great, a lot further on the healing road than mine were at one month.
