2 days out with no pain

I played 18 holes of golf and went bowling the day after the procedure. Just dealing with swelling, but no pain.

I've tried every deodorant under the sun,...

I've tried every deodorant under the sun, including prescription strength anti-perspirants. I must have 10 different types of deodorant in my bathroom and none of it helped. I cannot keep white t shirts for longer than 3 months because they get stained yellow in the pit area. Even dress shirts after they are cleaned still have a faint odor in the arm pit area, no matter how I tried to pre-treat the area before washing. I was so frustrated and was actually researching Botox injections when I stumbled across Miradry. I found it interesting that only 2% of your sweat glands are in your armpits and during this treatment you are exposed to the same level of microwaves as you would be from speaking on your cell phone for 1 hour.

Dealing with excess underarm sweating has really affected my confidence and is a frustrating issue. I recently moved to the Grand Rapids but made an appointment for the Miradry procedure at Allure Medical Spa in Shelby Township.

Tracy with Miradry was unbelievable, she was extremely professional, but someone who could actually hold a conversation with you during the procedure. I did not feel a thing besides some warmness here or there during the procedure.

Here's a quick recap of my day.....
Showed up at 11 am for my appointment and was seen within 5 minutes of arriving. I took 1000mg Ibuprofen just prior to arriving. Also, I shaved my armpits the night before, which was a first lol.

They used a machine that had the local anesthetic (numbing medicine) in a liter bag of fluid and they injected it into my armpit area. It burned for maybe 2 seconds, but the only other feeling I had was just a little pressure from the local they injected. Both sides took about 10 minutes combined and then we started the procedure.

It's hard to explain, but the best way I can describe it is similar to that feeling when you have your mouth numb for dental procedures. You can feel a little pressure but no pain whatsoever. I felt a warm tingling sensation from time to time but it was never painful. I played music on my phone and chatted with Tracy while she did the procedure.

After the procedure she placed ice packs under my arms. I asked her to use tape to keep them in place, as I had a 2.5 hour drive home.

As soon as I arrived home I used my homemade ice packs immediately and took another 1000 mg ibuprofen. You can make your own ice packs using a quart size ziplock bag. You mix 2 cups water and one cup rubbing alcohol. I used the green colored alcohol to give it some color. The more alcohol you add to the mixture the "more slushy" the ice pack will be. Word of advice, double bag the ziplock bags and make at least 4 ice packs, but really 6 would be ideal. This way you can alternate the ice packs and always have a cold one when you switch out.

I honestly haven't felt a single bead of sweat so far! I have attached pictures of my progress and I'm actually going to attempt to go golfing today for my friend's bday. I am at less than 24 hours after the procedure. Feel free to ask any questions!
