I had a great experience at Shapiro Medical Group. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Joe, he was great at describing the procedure and answering all the questions I had. He also did a great job working with me to draw out my new hairline. I am on day 3 of my post op and so far it's really been pain free, mainly just tired. Excited for my scabs to come off and the new hair to start coming through.

Hair transplant at Shapiro Medical Group

(Only before Pictures) Highly recommend Shapiro Medical Group. They have the sweetest staff. To the man at the front desk, the consultant, nurses and doctors. Dr. Josephitis did my procedure and the nurses. They were constantly making sure I was doing okay. They even crushed my pills because I have a hard time swallowing large ones. Dr. Josephitis was great at describing the procedure, answering questions and making sure I got exactly what I wanted. Not only did they do everything they could to make me feel comfortable but my mom came with me and they gave her a room to watch movies, brought her blankets, coffee and lunch. Can not say enough how great this doctor is and the place itself.

Your new hairline looks great! Has your donor area healed? I read that hair back there grows back easily; did they say that hair will regrow back there, or is it just going to heal as a thin scar that will be camouflaged by surrounding hair? I see that pre op your hair was lightened. Do they warm against bleach or hair dye on the new growth area -- even after time? Please post more update pics, I'm excited to see how you are progressing!

Thanks! My donor area has healed. There will be a thin scar there but you won't be able to see it. My hair isn't lightened. Haven't dyed it in years lol! The transplanted hair is currently starting the process where it falls out and should start growing back in 3-4 months

Just an update for the people who keep asking. It's been a month and a week since surgery. The hair has been falling out the last 2 weeks, like it should be doing. Still a little red. Hair should start growing 3-4 months after surgery so I have awhile til it starts popping back. Will update then.

Awh that's great to hear! Are you going to be posting your pictures when you get it down? I'd love to check it out!! Don't be nervous! It was actually a pretty fun experience in my opinion! ALSO GREAT TIP- buy an airplain pillow and put it on top of your regular pillow! Keeps you elevated and your head foreword so you don't sleep on your sides. I'm the biggest side sleeper and you don't want to mess up your grafts, so this savedddd me!

Thanks love! That's a great tip. I am DEFINITELY sharing my experience because seeing other women's experiences and getting to ask them questions has been so helpful to me and there aren't that many out there. I can't wait - im excited!
