Can the ‘Outfracture of Turbinates’ cause Empty Nose Syndrome? Are there alternatives to turbinate reduction?

My ENT has referred me to a plastic surgeon to determine the best approach for resolving my crooked septum and enlarged turbinate. This will be a revision because I had rhinoplasty a few years ago. I am terrified of ‘Empty Nose Syndrome (ENS)’. So, I am praying that I can avoid them having to touch my turbinates at all. However, I’ve been told that the ‘Outfracture of Turbinates’ does not cause ENS. Is this true? Are there surgical alternatives to turbinate reductions? I was considering ‘Spreader Grafts’ but, then I read that they can cause too much airflow. I’M LOST! All I want is for my septum to be straightened and to be able to breathe properly again without any terrifying side effects and/or problems. Can anyone provide some feedback and/or safe options? I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance.
