Everything I Had Hoped For- and More
WORTH IT
This may be the longest review of all time, but hoping it finds the right audience!
I’ve been self-conscious of my nose for as long as I can remember. Because of that, I’ve been pretty obsessed with noses. If you know, you know. Being from the middle of ND, finding the right surgeon felt impossible. I also needed functional/sinus correction which made it even more overwhelming.
After a few failed consultations, I became discouraged and wrote it off for years.
This year I decided to start researching again and came across Midwest Facial Plastic Surgery. They were within a reasonable distance (about a 6.5-hour drive) and focused on both ENT and facial plastic surgery, which was exactly what I was looking for. After scrolling through every before/after photo, social media posts, etc., I was consistently drawn to Dr. Bakeman’s work and overall energy. Her results looked natural, balanced, and tailored to each individual person, not one-size-fits-all.
I scheduled a virtual consult and knew pretty much immediately she was the right surgeon for me. She was warm, personable, and took the time to listen to my concerns, goals and preferences. I left feeling so understood and HOPEFUL for the first time. I scheduled surgery shortly after and never looked back.
I’m now almost 8 weeks post-op and I can honestly say I’m in love with my nose. That was something I didn’t think I would ever say, let alone less than two months after surgery.
My nose needed a lot of work both cosmetically and functionally. I don’t know how she did it, but along with fixing all the functional issues, she gave me a nose that exceeds anything I could have imagined. She took all of my concerns, preferences and inspiration photos and created a result that is beautiful and natural, and that truly fits my face. It looks and feels like the nose I was always meant to have.
Overall, I cannot say enough good things about my experience and I’m so grateful to Dr. Bakeman. Her and the MWFP team were there every step, answering all of my questions (incredible communication), were so accommodating with me being out of state, and continued to check in on me post-op and monitor my results.
Going into surgery I felt calm and completely confident in my choice and that peace of mind is everything when making a decision like this. Choosing her was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I would do it again 100 times over.
If you’re looking for a surgeon who is highly skilled, board-certified, attentive, and just truly an artist committed to natural, individualized results, I cannot recommend Dr. Bakeman enough. And for those where traveling is a concern- it was completely manageable and the little extra effort was so worth it to get the right surgeon, top quality care, and best results.
