Septum scabs

Hi all,
Something I never realized until I got this surgery was that normal people can like? Smell their boogers in their nose? So every so often I’d smell something funky, it took me a while to figure out what it was. Turns out it’s boogers.
And speaking of boogers. I’m getting lots of hard crusty ones on my septum, to the point where blowing and saline spray don’t dislodge them. Unfortunately I think two of them were scabs because now my septum is bleeding a tiny bit. Has this happened to anyone else?
I attached few pictures of the progress. Trying not to be discouraged that the swelling is still there where my bump was removed. I figure it will take a while but still.

If your bump was removed its not septoplasty its rhinoseptoplasty . They arent boogers u smell. That smell is from stitches. My brother did septoplasty. Recovered in 14 days. You should not hv any swelling after septoplasty. Its rhinoplasty that can give u swelling due to bone brokeage. Not sure what doctor u went to but thats what happened

I didn't have the option in RealSelf to put septorhinoplasty... it can't be stitches, they were all taken out?

Swelling, breathing, just the tip

I transferred back to sleeping in bed at the start of the new year. However, I’m finding it difficult to stay upright through the night, and inevitably find myself laying almost completely horizontal. I woke up with my nose more swollen than usual today. Swelling does fluctuate, is that normal?
I do find myself still stuffy, but I can blow my nose so that’s been a large help. I also irrigate with saline spray. Still noticing more whiteheads on my nose, but the peeling is resolved.
The tip of my nose is still very hard and doesn’t have much feeling, and I’m trying to stretch the nasal skin where the incision was because it’s very tight. I just try to move my lips around my teeth, if that makes sense.
Overall I’m still very pleased and know that my nose will seemingly progress and regress over the next year.

Super oily nose?

My nose is an oil production center right now! On top of it, it’s peeling like crazy. This is normal, right? The skin that peels doesn’t hurt, it’s more like if you let glue dry on your hands and peel it off. (Which was gross by the way, why would you do that?)
Anyways, I mostly miss sleeping in a bed. On my side. With my fiancé. Ugh. How much longer until I can kiss him without worrying about bonking my nose too hard? I already leaned in to kiss his cheek and forgot to turn my head and gently smushed my nose against his face, which hurt.
Also also, the sides of my nose feel more firm? Is that why I can’t move my nose as much? Is it just a part of the healing process?
Everyone in my family is impressed with how fast the bruising went away, and how good my nose is looking. I can still see swelling, but they swear it’s not as bad as I think.
