Breathing Easier - Septorhinoplasty
WORTH IT$4,400
First off, I dislike my nose. Overall, it's let me down most of my life. I can hardly breathe through it. It's unsightly. So, because I work at a hospital, and have my facility fees mostly covered, I decided why not? Let's get this thing rolling! My surgery is on Thursday 12/12, and I'll make updates on my healing process.

Post op Day 2
Well, yesterday was the big day. I came out of anesthesia feeling like I had the world’s worst brain freeze combined with feeling like I had to sneeze. Managing the pain with Percocet. On a scale of 1-10, I’m around a 2? Not as bad as I thought, just starting to get itchy. My eyes are really watery and goopy, which for some reason I didn’t expect. The bloody snot discharge has pretty much abated as well. The nasal splint needs to stay on for about a week. I’ll continue to ice and hope these shiners don’t get too bad.

Cast comes off today
Well, it’s been less than a week and my cast gets to come off! I’m excited and nervous at the same time. The itchiness has been ridiculous. Also, anyone else get really clumpy bloody boogers? Just me? They’re really stuffing up my nose, until one randomly liquefies and runs down my chin.
I went back to work yesterday, which was rough, but I finally had a BM so that rectified the situation, I suppose.
I uploaded a few photos, some from before the surgery and some from right now, before they take the cast off. Bruising improved significantly and I’m very pleased. The tip is still swollen but I’m accepting it as my new reality for the next few months.
Wish me luck!
