Had FC + Zygoma with GNG Hospital. It was a disastrous experience from start to finish. I urge anyone reading this to please stay away from this hospital.
I already have consulted with 2 other doctors about my problems as I will require a revision later this year.My initial experience prior to surgery was apprehension and after the first day. I was very close to cancelling and going with my other choice. My reason was everything felt cold, robotic and rushed, but I stupidly pushed this to the back of the mind.After the surgery I had no idea what the result was like because I was so swollen. i started to suspect something wasn't right about week 6-8 maybe.The first problem was the right zygoma was clicking then felt locked and was preventing me from opening my mouth. I put this down to swelling initially. You will get messages from the hospital saying Zygoma cant cause TMJ issues with the joint and to do mouth exercises. Which isnt true.On the third month I decided to get a scan at a local clinic which revealed the screw is very close to the condyle head ( jaw joint ) and my doctor concerned the bone has slightly fused with the joint causing the stiffness. I still cant open my mouth more than 2 fingers because of this after 4 month no matter how hard I try.My second problem is I made it very specific to them in emails and hundreds of pictures that I wanted to keep the jaw angle below my ear. I sent lots of images like this to make a point. I must have sent over 100 images of women with squarer jaws over email and printed out, because I wanted to make this 100% clear if there was a language issue that they had images to reference.I didn't like the unnatural v-line doll look and I said many times In consultation to Dr Choi that I want to keep most of my jaw angle. So when the swelling went down, I found out they didn't listen at all and just did what they pleased, and removed all of my jaw angle right up to my ear. I was so angry and crying because at that point, I knew I wasn't listened to at all during any point of the rushed consults (5mins each), they didn't ask me any questions to make sure with me. So that is going to require a revision costing me over $10'000 dollars to get a custom angle implant fitted to correct it so I can look like myself again.They were quick to realise they made a huge mistake after looking back on all my images I sent, and offered to refund me just for the jaw reduction, basically a very small amount that made no difference given how much I had already spent.But they would refund me only if I didn't post anything on any forums. It wasn't money because they genuinely cared. It was just money to keep me quiet and protect their own reputation. initially I accepted the refund because I could not work, but after 3 weeks of them pretending they had sent it. I realised I should just tell my story instead and hopefully this becomes more valuable.And when you do finally speak to them about something you know is wrong, you will realise you will feel like you are banging your head against a wall. See conversation below.They will just talk about asymmetry ( which was very mild ) and bumpiness which have nothing to do with what my issues were. They will say "give it time for bone remodelling" whatever that means, and all this other stuff, which will just frustrate you more, because they don't listen.In addition to this, I also still have a lot of tightness in my chin and mentalis muscle which hasn't gone away, but I will reserve judgement on this until 7 months or so.As for the severe functional and aesthetic issues, and then being offered money to keep quiet, I can only say this is one of the most unprofessional, inhuman, uncaring places I have had ever had the experience to go to, and if you want to risk all of the above based on the glossed over promoter stories then thats fair. But do consider when and if things go wrong, what type of Hospital you are dealing with, and the problems you will be let with.You can DM me for more questions and information. I just thought I would add to this thread a little more, as its been on my mind lately,...and it truly baffles me.
Its one of aesthetics, and the weird way in which they apply it.
GNG Hospital and many other places seem to think that obliterating the mandible angle and elongating the chin is somehow feminine, and isn't going to contribute to ageing in 2-5 years after surgery or even before that.
I did very quick morph (attached) of a couple of their "models" on their page (left is current, right is morphed) Its not even done properly, but in my opinion serves to illustrate just how severe the removal of bone is.
When you compare with the edit, I think the edit looks much better, more refined, more natural, more feminine, and would definitely prevent ageing more.
The first image to to look like a huge chunk of jaw has been removed and the chin elongated like a goblet.
Why in the hell, as a female, would you want to elongate the face and make your face more masculine? and in the long run contribute to accelerated ageing?
The brainwashing comes partly from showing a girl without scrap of makeup prior to surgery....and then giving them a total 100 filter makeover after surgery to complete the illusion. There is absolutely no objectivity so therefore they think the after is the ideal, when really in reality it isn't, at all.
I would love to see them do the opposite. Post surgery take a picture of the girl with no makeup in the morning, and then show a picture of them before they had surgery in makeup and and a pretty dress.
And this isn't just about beauty, its providing a structure to your face for years and years to come, so your masseter muscle and other tissues don't slide down your face.
Attractive female faces usually always have a relatively short chin (not recessed or too short) with a nice angle to their jaws.
And this brings me back to the problem, for the most of Korean clinics, I think even their surgeons are brainwashed into thinking this is the ideal beauty standard. Because of that, they will disregard the patients opinion because their subconscious is telling them it should look a certain way. Its arrogance,..my opinion of beauty is right, I am the doctor.
I'm being honest with you. During consult with GNG I must have brought over 80 images of females with similar jaw angles and was looking for a subtle result. I made this so clear (it was my biggest fear). All the coordinators nodded their head with their fake smiles, made me feel comfortable, like they understood me. The doctor nodded, ....and then hours later decided **** it, I'll do the complete opposite of what I have been instructed to do crystal clear terms.
And then for them to tell me "the surgery was very much a success" and my face had "limitations" was just deceptive in the extreme. My jaw had nothing wrong with it.
I don't know if anyone agrees but I thought it important to share my opinion, because a lot of people are getting completely hoodwinked by filtered and un-objetive images, and it just goes unvetted the the clinics can be as devious and deceptive as they please to make money. The illusion of thisneeds to be shattered so people can make much more informed decisions.
It my opinion a lot of their ideals on aesthetics are completely skewed. My mistake was thinking they could apply their skills to a western face. The answer is they cant and I'm sure that applies to the majority of clinics.

Why would she write such a detailed review to tarnish gng rep? Do your research, there's more botch reviews on this clinic.
These Korean clinics are so heavily into photoshopping and paying patients to write positive reviews in exchange for a discount.

Trust I know they pay these people to write Great reviews or give them discounts , BUT THEY ALSO create pages to tarnish other clinics so people won’t go to them .. she haven’t put any pictures up nor Have she responded to anyone .

Nah. I read her reviews on another ps board and have gone through cheekbone and jaw reduction myself. I know how horrible this surgery can be in real life. It not only weakens the bone structure but kills the natural adhesive of skin to bone. Nobody is stopping you from going to gng. Go for it. She's just informing the public about the danger of this type of surgery and how badly it can ruin someone's life. Are you going to condemning her for giving you such valuable and informative resources? I guess no good deeds goes unpunished just bc it's not something you want to hear. You don't have to take it but you should be thankful. korea sells you a fantasy that is not realistic.

Then go to GNG my dear. You have to see and learn for yourself. Maybe if you were a social media celebrity you might get more of a meticulous and VIP treatment. I'm telling you this from experience. I, also, did not listen when people tried to warn me about cheekbone and jaw reduction. I'm young and was told my skin will snap back..however, this type of surgery can look one way in photos and another in person. Just know, as you age, your structure and skin will absorb so it'll age you much faster. If i could do this all over again, i would've just done botox and had that taper jawline but still kept the definition. It's hard to explain until you go through it...i use to dis like my cheekbones, but now i realize why so many people get cheek implants...it helps contour the upperface and lift the eye area. It's hard to explain until you do it. it's been a painful few years for me of hiding which is why i feel alot of people need to know the raw truth about what can happen before taking such a big risk. However, good luck to whichever clinic or doctor you choose. Don't get defensive when people try to educate and help you--take it as a gift.

I am sooo sorry to hear about your situation. I also had Vline with Dr. Oh at Regen and he completely cut off all of my jaw angle and now it is completely deformed looking. I showed him soo many pictures of an angular jawline and then he cut off any angle completely and looks horrible now. Please read my extensive review and I think we had a lot of similarities. I hope more and more women post their honest reviews and how korean doctors are just money mills and don't care about patients, especially after the surgery is over and you've paid. they won't even talk to you. really strange. I am now 2 years post and I still have incredible pulling and tightness in my chin area. my smile is still crooked. i used to be attractive and now, i just hide my face from everyone. it's been terrible for me and my mental health. I've developed depression and high blood pressure from all the stress of hiding my face from people.
If this helps, I've gotten facial filler called radiesse to give me a little jawline again but now it just widened my face again. I regret the surgery soooo much. I should have gotten mandibular botox and buccal fat removal. I hate my face now. I hate it.

This is like American surgeons too. I had a horrible rhinoplasty and it caused me to become depressed. And an ethical surgeon would have never done rhinoplasty on me to begin with, since my nose was already so small to start. And now it's just a flat wide mess with a lack of cartilage.
The same surgeon also pushed for me to get a chin implant....which looked HORRIBLE and didn't work with my features at all. He had no understanding of aesthetics....I need jaw surgery not a chin implant. And then I had to PAY him surgery room fees to remove it.
They know they can get away with it too. They push additional procedures that are unnecessary and they do stuff that was never discussed (such as ruining the tip of my nose and adding grafts in my nose that made it wider). Because they know patients have no legal recourse when it comes to cosmetic surgery.

To be honest, I think you should have just looked into jaw implants for the results you were looking for. you dont just "shave down" the jaw in order to get a jawline like the ones you would like. I think there was misunderstanding.....but as for this hospital youre reviewing, they are actually blacklisted in Korea.

No [RS bleep] there was a misunderstanding. That's my whole point and why I made this review. I told them exactly where to cut, and the cut they made was the complete opposite of what I asked for. I know my own jaw bones and had STL scans. I knew exactly what needed to be done. The problem was they didnt listen.

Because in Korea after you sign a contract with clinic you don't have any power against them. Korean doctors are really powerful, the law still giving them way to much power...keep in mind that even where some patient died the clinic is still open because the patient signed contract where there is written that whatever happens is your business so after you sign you can even die but the clinic still haven't any consequence. Same botched jobs, sometimes people signed contract where they can't make bad reviews and if they make they get sued.
