Hello, I've come to Korea to get upper blepharoplasty, epicanthoplasty and doublo laser treatment.
To begin with, I've had blepharoplasty before but the result was not successful, so I wanted revisional eyelid surgery and wanted more defined eye shape.
With upper blepharoplasty and epicanthoplasty, I expect my eyes to look more bigger and have naturally creased line for double eyelids. Not only that but I'm expecting those two eyelid surgeries will help the distance between the eyes to be more closer since I feel the gap is too wide.
Everytime I take selfies, I got self-conscious and wanted to improve how I looked.

I had visited Singapore BK clinic before and knew about Korean BK Plastic Surgery Hospital so I decided to get the surgery while I was planning for my family trip to Korea. Korea is well-known for their advanced medical technology and service and I had strong belief and trust in Dr.Kim from BK Plastic Surgery Hospital to give me the surgery I desired to get.
I'm so excited and I plan to post updates on my surgery recovery and how my facial features progress after the surgery. Wish me luck! I

I saw Dr.Kim Byung Gun for my surgery consultation and the surgery(Epicanthoplasty, Upper blepharoplasy, Doublo laser treatment). He is a fluent English speaker so I had no trouble delivering my wants and needs. I've been seeing him for a few years now and he has always been precise on letting me know the options for improvement for my appearance. I didn't need to be hospitalized so I only stayed for a few hours to recover and wake up fully from anesthesia. Dr. Kim explained how he will proceed with the surgery after examining the level of flaccidity on my eyelids and I was free to ask any extra questions I may have had regarding the result or the method of the surgery. The medical staffs were very friendly and the English-speaking consultant was with me in every treatment session for smooth communication. She also made sure for me to follow all the after-care instructions that she gave me. As I wasn't hospitalized, I saw the doctor on the day of the surgery, and for treatments such as sterilization and stitch removal. He thoroughly checked the recovery status and let me know what to expect. The consultant was able to communicate with me through SNS and email fast. There were some waiting times due to busy consultation schedules but they weren't too long. All in all, I was satisfied with my experience here and look forward to my surgery result.

Surgery Day Review

Karen Lee2
Finally, I got the surgery and am writing the review.
I met my consultant who spoke English and had the first consultation where I explained what I wanted.
Then I met Dr. Kim Byung Gun who I've seen in Singapore clinic for a few years now and he examined my eyelids while I blinked to see how flaccid they were. I told him I wanted my double eyelids to look natural and not too thick. I also told him I wanted the distance between my eyes to look closer since I thought my eyes were too far apart. He understood what I aimed for in my looks and said he could improve my condition.

After the surgery, I didn't feel much pain. The only pain I felt was when the doctor injected anesthesia around my eye area. After that, all progressed well. After the surgery, I wasn't dizzy and I was able to walk about. I took my medication religiously and also pressed the ice-pack around the eye area.
I had to ask the consultant if I actually had the Doublo laser treatment since I didn't felt any extra stimulation or redness on my skin but she told me all the procedure was done at the same time.
My skin felt very smooth and I was actually willing to get more lapse of the same treatment.
The swelling would look probably worst on the first day of surgery so I’m expecting it to subside as time passes by.

The day after surgery. Sterilizing my eyelids.

Karen Lee2
I came for my first treatment, the day after my surgery.
I needed to sterilize my eyelids before the stitch removal which would take place the week after my surgery. I felt my eyelids were more swollen and looked more bruised then the day before but the pain didn't feel too bad.
The doctor took off my tapes on my eyelids and examined my eyelids to see the incision site and how it was recovering. Since it was the day right after surgery, he said it was normal for the eyelids to look bruised and all purplish with blood clots. The colors will fade as time passes, which I already knew from the first time I got double eyelid surgery. Nothing new that I've been through.

I felt good enough to walk around with my sunglasses on and enjoyed sight seeing and some light shopping. After shopping, I came to the hotel to relax and ice-pack massaged my eyelid area to sooth the swelling.
