i have actually 3 large tattoos to remove. the one pictured is going to be the most difficult as the other two are plain black and thin lines. after getting the two black ones then i got this big colorful one and realized i hated all of them. i am depressed and can't believe i did this to myself. i have to keep my arms covered at all times during this hot summer! i can tell this year is going to be the hardest of my life. the price i put above is per session, so this will cost me thousands in the long run. i don't know how i'm going to afford it all but i can't live with this. i actually still love tattoos and have a couple that i do like. but i hate the biggest ones i have. i want a cover up once the black ones fade. i'm not showing a picture of those yet, i'm already so embarrassed. maybe i will post a before/after picture of them though. i'll update on my removal. please give me any advice you have and tell me your experiences, i would really appreciate it. i'm still so angry that i let this happen right when my life was going so well

Welcome to the community, I hope you find lots of support here. Sorry, you're having a difficult time dealing with your tattoos, as you begin your treatments you will start to feel better because you are working towards your goal of removal or a cover up -- both possible over time.

I thought I would share the following reviews with your for some inspiration:

What Are my Chances?! (successful removal black ink)

LARGE ROSE TATTOO REGRET

Keep your chin up, don't dwell on the past --  you will soon learn that this whole situation will become a very valuable life lesson.

I am going through the same thing, I got a large tattoo on my outer thigh and regretted it instantly, it's been bugging me and driving me insane ever since. I have posted here and a lot of people have told me to get laser removal but since my tattoo is so bright, it's not an option. Unfortunately I've been given some misinformation as when I visited a doctor he adviced me that laser removal is just not an option for me. So I'm going to have serial tattoo excision, which will probably require around 4 sessions due to the tightness of the area. I sometimes worry about the scar because it s going to be about 16 cm long, but the tattoo is driving me so crazy I think I'll be better off living with a scar as I feel it's less embarrassing.

Hi, can I ask why laser is not an option?

My Tattoo is too bright and colorful so it's quite impossible to get rid of those colors. I was told that yellow, green (even using picosure) will just not fade, and others will only fade slightly.

I would definitely get a few opinions on that. I also have colours on mine and have got good fading on the green after only 1 treatment.

Get more opinions. Living with a scar is not as easy as you might think. Also consider that in time - maybe a couple of years there will be new technology . Seriously think about your options

Everyone I asked has told me that nothing is guaranteed with the colors I have, and the most honest opinion I got was from a doctor who told me that obviously for him it's better if I start the process and spend money but it will be a waste of time and money because of how bright and colorful my tattoo is. I don't want to end up wasting so much time and money only to end up going through the surgery later on.

It's not an easy decision for me, I would rather not have the tattoo or the scar, but if I had to choose between the two, I would choose the scar because the tattoo is driving me insane. I have gone through with doing the tattoo because I felt pressured by others and I don't want to live with that. If I get the surgery, it will be for me, because the tattoo bothers me, if I don't get the surgery cos of how others might react to the tattoo, I will be making the same mistake again I feel.
