After being welcomed into the Seattle Facial...
After being welcomed into the Seattle Facial Plastic Surgery Center and the office of Dr. Portuese by Ashton who greeted me with a smile, any anxieties that were present during the drive to Seattle quickly vanished. Janet assisted me with my paperwork and getting checked in very hospitably which was set my mind at ease. The atmosphere was calm, relaxing, professional, and I immediately knew that I was in very capable hands.
Previously to meeting with Dr. Portuese and receiving the blessing of his talented surgical sills, I had been living with the results of a very traumatic assault that occurred over 10 years ago. Every time I would get closer to setting up a consultation with a surgeon to repair the damages, those memories of the attacker would resurface. I would then block the idea of surgery because I was incapable of coping with those feelings. When initially meeting with the Dr. he helped me to overcome that fear and feel very confident in his abilities to move forward. I thank the Dr. and his staff all most sincerely for helping me to bring closure to that assault and the emotional pain that was attached to it for all of these years.
Before my day of surgery, I could not comprehend that having surgery could be such an easy experience. Now I understand why Dr. Portuese is so respected in his field, and how he has earned so many recommendations and awards. Both the Dr. and the Anesthesiologist explained the full procedure to me, which was very comforting. I was up and ready to be active 9 hours after waking up from the surgery. The speed at which recovered was so remarkable. I promised to take it easy even though I felt as though I could do just about anything right. A really big and grateful thank you to everyone at The Seattle Facial Plastic Surgery Center.
