2 years after surgery. Currently in my retainer 24/7. Still very happy with results. I can chew much better and bite food, which before was pretty difficult. I also sleep better at night and can breathe with my mouth closed (used to be a mouth breather).

What have been the side effects of this surgery? Did you notice changes to your nose? Thanks for the review

The left side of my chin/lip are about 80% numb... doesn’t really bother me and I am so used to it that I don’t notice it. My nose did change, not drastically, but to me it looks a bit larger/wider now since my face isn’t elongated like before. I liked my old face so it took some time getting used to the changes. Swelling took about a year to fully go away.

How is your feeling on the lower lip? I’m very scared to go ahead to do the surgery for that ! Please tell me is not completely numb

Thank you! Healing is going super well. Except I’m in heavy rubber bands now, three on each side. Today is the first day of it and it’s not fun at all. How are the braces?!

Sorry I never got back to you. The braces aren't too big of a deal... A minor annoyance overall. I'm about 4 to 6 months from my surgery at this point! Hope things have continued to progress well!
