35, 1 Kid Really Wanted Nice Boobies! - Seattle, WA

I had always been small busted, prior to having a baby I was a 36 A, and after a 36 "barely" B. I had always wanted nice, large round boobs and after having a child and then losing 30 lbs mine were quite sad looking, very small and on the saggy side. One morning I was standing in front of the mirror crying because I thought they looked so terrible, my fiance walked by and asked what was wrong. When I told him he said "we can fix that!" and hence the path to new boobs began.
I researched surgeons for several months, I have never had any other surgery and decided if I was gonna go for it I wanted to make sure I chose a great doctor. After obsessively perusing online I narrowed down to 3 doctors and scheduled consultations. I ultimately decided to go with Dr. Salemy in Seattle and am very happy with my choice. He has a great bed-side manner, I always felt very comfortable and like he cared as much about my results as I did.
I was hoping to end up with a large "D" cup and chose to have silicone cohesive gel (gummi-bear) implants, Natrelle round mod-profile. Initially I went with 457 cc's but at my pre-op appointment I decided to go a little bigger and ended up getting 495 cc's. I'm 5'5", 150 lbs and now wear a 34DDD, larger than I had wanted, but they look good on my body so I'm ok with that.
My surgery went well and I was on my way home within 2 1/2 hours. I was a little sore, but the pain killers took care of most of the pain. My one piece of advice would be make sure you take them every 4 hours (or as prescribed) the first couple days. I fell asleep the first night and missed a dose, woke up 6 hours later in the worst pain I've ever felt, I thought I was going to die! I only took the pain killers for 4 days though, and then only at bed-time the next two days and was fine. I really wasn't in any pain, other than minor soreness for a couple weeks after that. the only real complaint I have about recovery was around 4 weeks post-op I was sooooo uncomfortable. My bra was comfortable, I couldn't hardly sit, I couldn't sleep and was so miserable I started regretting the surgery all together, then like magic at the 6 week mark I was fine and happy with my new boons again. I will say it was definitely worth it, and even two years later every time I look in the mirror I love them!

How long before you were back at work? I've narrowed my search down to dr Salemy and one other doctor. Thank you for sharing.

I had my surgery on a Tuesday and was back at work the following Monday. I have an office job and didn't have any problems with going back so soon.

The 34DDD looks really good on you. I had mine done 3.5 weeks ago. I was a 34A. Told my PS I wanted DDs so he put in 752cc. I feel they are too big for my body even though I'm 5'8". I hate them right now. I hope I change my mind about them. They look too big to be DDs. How long did it for you to like them? Thank you!

I thought mine were too big at first too, I had only wanted a "D" cup...but after a few months the swelling went down and they weren't quite as big. It took about 3-4 months before I got used to having them and figured out what clothes to wear that were flattering. After that I starting really liking the size.

Great! Thanks! I hope mine aren't as big after the swelling goes away because I'm really hating them right now. I'm wearing loose tops so they won't look as big. Hopefully they'll shrink enough to the point where I'll be comfortable in a tight top
Thank you so much for sharing on RealSelf! I'm glad you are happy.
