55 Year Old Fit Woman Needing Belly Banishment Due to Menopause. Seattle, WA

With the "change" of life came certain body changes that I just couldn't "embrace". I have been physically fit my entire life. But always had a little belly pooch. But with the "change" my belly had grown into it's own entity. And it wasn't going to budge. I could work out everyday, eat clean, low calorie, low fat (I'm a vegetarian) foods. Didn't matter, it was there and there to stay!! My girl friend works as a RN for Dr. Grenley and she convinced me into coming in for a free consultation. From the time I walked into the beautiful office, I was treated like a queen. The entire staff is so helpful, knowledgable and professional. And Dr. Grenley is amazing. He is honest, caring and truly is passionate about what he does. He is an artist, he is in to what the patient wants. It's not about quantity with Dr. Grenley, it's about quality. To a patient like myself, that means a lot. He really cares about my procedure and me!! I scheduled my Liposuction of belly and hips. I was thrilled!! I did my due diligence and read as much as I could about the procedure and recovery. I asked the doctor to be aggressive, get it all!! I was not prepared for the pain and soreness after however. I was told it would be a few days before resuming "normal" activity. I couldn't move for a week! It was a month before I could put on my shoes and tie them. I'm at 6 weeks right now and just had my post op with Dr. yesterday. All is perfect!! I'm loving the results. Every"body" is different. Everyone's pain and discomfort is different. That's the one "take away" I would really hit home with patients. Maybe you could resume "normal" activity within a few days. OR you could be like myself and it could take weeks before you started to feel relief from the pain, swelling and discomfort. Just like menopause effects women differently, your recovery will be your own as well. I will go back in to see Dr. Grenley and his staff in about 6 months. At that point it will be about 8 months since my procedure. He will then take the "after" photo's and we see the final results. It takes that much time for your body to recover. When I look in the mirror now I cry, tears of absolute joy. I love it!! And everyone tells me "now you can go buy all new clothes" And I reply "no, now I can wear all of my own clothes!" It's been two years of fighting the belly, now it's gone forever! Thank you Dr. Grenley and staff. I really meant it when I told you I LOVE YOU! BIG thanks and BIG love!
