If you are on the fence about a tummy tuck, please read. Here is my story. I met Dr. Grenley in December and had the initial consultation about my options for a flatter stomach. I had met with two other local doctors, however felt Dr. Grenley provided the best advice. I made the decision to move ahead after this initial consultation. I made the next appointment, a longer 2.5 hour appointment. It was in this next appointment I was giving the final payment schedule and asked to pay the full amount. I then had the deeper discussion with Dr. Grenley to understand what was about to happen at a much deeper level. I left that appointment with a lot of regret and was considering not doing the surgery. If I had opted to not do the surgery, I would have lost all of my money (nearly 10k). I went ahead with the surgery. In my opinion, these conversations are out of order. Dr. Grenley should provide you the deeper dive about the surgery, outcomes and potential results...then you should be asked to pay.
The aftermath...the recovery is painful, much worse than a broken arm or having three children (I have done both). You are left with a HUGE scar, asked to wear a girdle for 4 months/24 hours a day. You are asked to sleep on your back for three months, which is painful after one week. The swelling does not go down for over 6 months, resulting in you having to wear a size bigger in some cases. The disappointment for me is that after all of the pain and suffering, there is no noticeable difference. Again, my hip to hip scar is the only thing at this point I have to show for this horrible decision I made. You are also left with no feeling across your mid-section. The feeling may or may not return.
If you are on the fence about a tummy tuck or not really sure if you are a candidate...please consider this review. It was my decision, I own this, but I so wish I had not done this to my body. Eat right, work-out and more importantly, just embrace middle age and the body you have. A very hard and expensive lesson to learn.

Dr. Grenley is a perfectionist and very talented, no doubt. His staff is kind, helpful and supportive. In my last appointment, which should be my final, he never asked me if I was happy with the results. He asked me if I had any questions, but not if I was happy. As I wrote in my review, I do think the order of appointments is backwards. I think the fully informed discussion with Dr. Grenley should come BEFORE you are asked to make the payment. I had a change of heart once I learned more about the surgery, the recovery and the potential for little change. However, I had already made the payment. I would have lost my nearly 10k. I wish now I had just walked away.
