I had hooded and non symmetrical double eyelids to start with. My left crease was 7mm and right was 6mm. I was happy with my original left crease but doctor said to make it easier to control and Balance end results, I should do both eyes. I'm into 12th day post op and I hate it now. As you can see, there is not much improvement to my right eye ( which now I am grateful for) n for my left eye, I m so freaking out!!!! Whatever he did, it made my eyes look more different to each other than before.

1) I read online I should wait at least 6 months to 1 year to see final results but with such vast and freakish apperance, should I wait (if yes, how Long since suture method should have faster recovery time than incision method) or just go straight to reverse whatever was done to my left eye?

2) I am so freaking out as I need to look normal before I return to office? I already took 2 weeks off for this procedure, and now, if I do reversal now, how Long will it take for me to look like my original self before this whole nightmare?

3) would I ever look like my original self again?

4) from the pictures, do you even advise I go back to the same doctor? I feel like he has majorly screwed up as he informed me he actually had to do my left eye twice/redo as he was not happy with results first time ( I was sedated and didn't know any of this till I called back 1 day after to ask why r my eyes looking so different? And he told me all should balance out after swelling subsided. N I don't think it will ever balance out from the looks of it) .

I hope I get some reply, I'm losing sleep over this :/ such humiliation to bear ....

Thanks for starting a review.  From what I've seen in the eyelid communities it is very normal to have each eye heal differently at first.  Hang in there and keep us posted!

i think they still look beautiful if you ask me! I know it's really scary during the healing process because you never know how it's going to be like.
1) it's true that the eyes will still change within the 6 -12 month after surgery because even though it looks like it's healed on the outside, the inside tissue is still healing so some doctor would recommend you wait since the change wont be too dramatic after 6-12 months or most of the tissues have healed. But because of the uncertainty of the progress of each eyelid, i think you should go back to your doctor and let him/her know your concern so you guys can figure things out. You don't necessarily need to go back to this doctor to do follow up surgeries but he can at least help you undo whatever he has done, if that's possible.
2) Dont freak out! you look beautiful still! Our eyelid is changing everyday even we didn't have any surgery. the skin will stretch out because of aging and the crease will definitely become thinner but not in a short period of time tho! I think your eyes look very natural and beautiful because most of us are born with uneven eyes, plus the unevenness of your eyes aren't that dramatic, a little bit makeup can do the trick! But again, THEY ARE STILL VERY BEAUTIFUL!!!
3) It depends on your doctor. There's different method they used to enhance the crease, some can be undo, some can't.
4) If you feel like you don't trust this doctor, go to another one then! If you and your doctor are not at the same page, you wont be satisfied even if he/she is the best in the field, am I right? But yes, the swelling is a major factor, so just take a chill pill!

I am just a really bored office lady who happened to do a lot of research on asian eyelid surgery and planning to get it done myself.
Stay beautiful sista!
