Had breast augmentation & lift.I've been sick w/ health problems ever since including thrush and chest pains especially on left breast right after surgery,which still have my chest pains nine months after implants put in.Fatigue,joints &muscle pains all over.I was very active,energetic before surgery.

I, like you, had breast augmentation 9 months ago and physically have never been the same. I have joint pain, muscle aches and a whole lot of other issues going on that weren't there prior to surgery. I have joined a silicone support group on FB as well as consulted with three other ps's. The silicone support group is very helpful. Good luck

Thanks, I am on a page on Facebook on implants with toxins that are causing health problems. I've seen pictures of silacone impants disintergrate in breast on this page. I have Sientra implants in which it seems they took this brand off market now. Hmmmmmm.. Im worried its my implants. Too many women having health problems after implants put in. It's Seems to be all implants. I don't want to be sick any more.

I love my surgeon, she is a great surgeon! I hope I can get this resolved. Maybe getting an explant my health will get better. I hate to get an explant, for the reason I got implants is to help me feel better about myself.

Just a word of caution, most plastic surgeons do not believe that implants cause sickness. She will probably tell you it is something else making you sick and to just give it more time. Friendly advice, so do some research and find a doctor who had done explants before. I saw there plastic surgeons before deciding on which was best for me.

Yes, its exactly what happened. I've been complaining about my health problems since after implants in. I'm getting worse with my health. I was recommend another surgeon which I do have a consultation in the end of Nov. I actually went to see a great Doctor and told her all my health problems after my implants in and she has seen me going through my health issues, when I told her about my problems, she did not disagree with me and actually gave me a couple of surgeons recommendations. I was really surprised that in her way agreeing with me.

Yes, both bottomed out. Capsular contraction in both after 3months in. 10 months since implants put in and I still have pain in my left breast. Unusual lymph node under left underpit. They say it's inflamed. I'm wondering if its the pain I have in left breast. I went to a few doctors about my health issues. I have chronic pain from pains in left breast.

do it, have then remove. I did, best decision of my life. I feel so much better now, but the damage that was done to my spine not sure if will ever heal. Do it now, the sooner the better.

May I ask was it implants that did damage to your spine or the explant? Sorry to hear about that it caused problems to your spine.

The implants, I had saline but what the doctor don't tell you is that the outer shell if made of silicone also. I believe the body absorbs some of that silicone, and it affect some women like you and I, some women don't feel a thing. In my case about 8 months after implants I started to have pain in my left shoulder blade, and my left breast always did hurt, my lymph nodes were swollen. the pain spread to the center upper back and right shoulder blade eventually to my chest (rib cage). I had explant 9 years later, I couldn't take it anymore. my breast were always hot and I always feel the implant inside me, since the moment I woke up from anesthesia. now they are gone my back still hurts, is been 6 months since explant, I'm detoxing and trying to get my health back.

I have take twice, every two months a product called the Cleaner. I get it at Vitamin Shoppe, but you can buy any detox program. I been using Sweet Fennel Essential oil from Do Terra, it helps with lymphatic systems, I get it at Amazon, better price and also Zendocrine, it cleanses the liver also DoTerra.

I had an explant on 10/21/15 after having 550cc for 2 years. I was miserable with them in. I put on 30 pounds, bad back issues, chronic headaches. Best decision ever to remove them. I've lost 16 pounds in a month. Way more energy and feeling myself again. My clothes fit much better too. I had a lift and explanation. Take plenty of vitamin c, biocornium cream and maderma. Heals wonderfully. Oh and the silicone sheets. They are about 25 bucks at cvs. Just go to Walmart n have them order them for u. They're only $16 there. Best wishes

Yes, I have been telling her that I have not been feeling well since implants, and having left chest pains ever since implant in. I have unusual lymph nodes under both my arms.I got a biopsy on only one side,very painful, so they stopped and did not do my they armpit. They told me that it's inflamed. I will prob see another surgeon for my explanation.

My decision is made! Sad to say I will be getting an explant, hoping my health will do better. Positive side hoping I will back to my healthy, happy, energetic, athletic mother and wife I was before my implants where in. I got implants, wanting feel better about myself for I lost 50lbs and just wanted to have my normal looking breast, not saggy breast after I lost weight. I didnt want to be bigger, I just wanted to be my normal size before I lost alot of weight. After getting them in, I started to not feel good, and soon my health was going down hill as the weeks went by. I went from an energetic, athletic women who ran half marathons, worked out 5-6 days a week, a personal trainer, and worked at a very high intensity resturaunt, to after my implants being put in, slowly having health problems to being very weak, fatigue, joints N back aches,spams, cramping through out body,neck pains, headaches, stomach problems, throat problems,the list goes on, also I now cannot workout, not a personal trainer,and also step down of my position at a very high intinsity resturaunt. More upcoming news after my explant. Getting explanted is probably the best thing for me and my health!

I will be getting my explant by Dr. Lisa Sowder. She answered all my concerns about an explant..

When us your explant? Are you going under local or general? I'm going to hv mine removed on 26/1/16. Supposed to hv them removed in March/April this year but cancelled.
Travel tickets to the hospital already booked n paid n going to pay the hospital next week.
Just can't wait to hv them out.

I had general anesthesia. Just had mine explanted Dec 11th. Dr. Lisa Sowder was great! No problems with anestesia like I did with my implants in, with Dr. Nygaard. My explant surgeon said I made a good descision of getting them explanted for I had capsular contracture and alot of scar tissue so soon. I was only 10.5 months in from implants put in. She was concerned why I had so much scar tissue so soon. I'm glad that my two nephrologists and explant surgeon was in the same page as me, TO GET THEM OUT! Now I can get back on track to my healthy, energetic, mom and wife. So happy I got them out!

Hi lateenagirl, hope you are healing well n enjoying the natural self.
Typo on my last message, my surgery was yesterday 16/1/16 n not 26/1/16. Checked in at 7.15am n op started at 8.30am. Had my eyes shut all through the op n I'm one that hv zero tolerance on pain. But the ps n his team were brilliant n put up with my screaming n the is injected more morphing lol. Anyway it was over in about 40-45 mins. Do you experience itching in your scar as mine itch n feeling of tightness on the bandage. Hv to wait 12 days before it cud be removed. Very happy to hv those toxic removed n able to lay on either sides with comfort again. My ps showed me the implants n they were not covered with blood which I thought they would as seen pics of bloodied implants posted by ppl here.
Will post pics soon.

Im so happy for you! I did feel a little itching,but not bad. I put coconut oil on my scars, but I think you have to waite a few weeks to do that. It helps your scars. I am doing great now. I'm back to work. On my 3 week back,my energy is up and back to the gym ,starting out slowly. Happy healing to you! :-)

Getting an Explant Was the Best Decision I Made!

After getting implants in 10.5 months ago, I have not felt well ever since! I decided to get my implants out hoping my health will do better! Dr. Sowder was highly recommended to me, and yes they were right! She called me that very next day, which was on a Saturday to see how I was feeling. That I really appreciated!

Thank you! My explant surgeon said I had so much scar tissue in so little time. I only had them in me for 10.5 months. More scar tissue in left breast, the one I was having chest pains in. I have no more chest pain in my left breast. I can breath easier. 4 days after explant and feeling the difference already. Can't wait to be the old healthy, energetic person I used to be as my days of healing progress.

Hey ! good luck ! You will feel better after ! the feeling of real breasts (even super super small) is not comparable to breasts with implants. They are soft, warm and squisky. When I had implants, my breasts were cold (even in summer). Cold and hard. I don't regret my decision to explant, even if my breasts are not pretty (but they were not before implants, so...)
